Hagan Banks with the start today? Great to have him back if so!

Alabama (14-1) will be looking for their third straight home series sweep of the season, battling Lipscomb this afternoon at 1:00 pm.
Tide has won 18 straight games at The Joe dating back to 2023.
Hagan Banks (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 App) set to make his first 2024 start for UA.

Like the team so far, particularly the aggressive approach on offensive that coach has brought in. Sweep today and it gets real next week, starting with a road trip to Southern Miss and then the Vols at home.

Hopefully yesterday was just a hiccup from Hess.

Edit - It kind of makes me nauseous to think about this team with Holman and Shelton added tot he mix.

What does it mean that during the radio broadcast we could hear them call to the bullpen during the second AB? Was it a low pitch count? Why put him at the start if the PC was so low?

I think they’re expecting a bullpen game today all the way through. Probably will use 4-5 arms at least.

Is Moza hurt, or could they be saving him for Tuesday’s game?

We gave up a lot of runs this weekend and still won. Did we see our weekend starters? If so, we may have to outhit em.

Wonder if they are saving Moza for Tuesday and plan on using Adams next Sunday?

Another beautiful day at The Joe. Pitch by committee Sunday. I’m guessing the coaching staff wanted another look at guys one more time as we gear up for conference play. Loving this team.

Alabama baseball completed the sweep of Lipscomb on Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, downing the Bisons, 10-5. The victory moved the 13th-ranked Crimson Tide to 15-1 on the season.

Alabama scored in each of the first five innings, plating two apiece in the first and second, single tallies in the third and fourth and adding four in the fifth to put the game out of reach. Lipscomb was able to answer with one in the second, two in the third and one apiece again in the fourth and sixth but went scoreless over the final 3.0 frames for the 10-5 final.

The Crimson Tide offense produced 11 hits on the day, led by Ian Petrutz. The junior went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored. Evan Sleight matched him in RBI as part of his 1-for-3 showing that included one walk as well. Coulson Buchanan (1-1) picked up the win with 1.1 scoreless frames that included two hits and two strikeouts.

From Head Coach Rob Vaughn
"Beating anybody three times is tough, especially when you're trying to do it in a 24-hour window. That's a veteran lineup (in Lipscomb) that gave us some fits and would just never go away. That's a credit to their staff and their entire team. That's a good group that's been around the block, and their record doesn't reflect it yet, but those guys are going to give other teams fits."
