I love watching the regionals and super regionals but completely ignore the CWS. The host sites for the regionals/supers are more enjoyable and personal than the CWS

Tennessee baseman third baseman Zane Denton has officially entered the transfer portal, GoVols247 confirmed on Thursday afternoon. Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel was the first to report that Denton will transfer.
Denton did not play this season despite announcing on Aug. 5 that he was returning for a second season with the Vols after going undrafted in the 2023 MLB Draft. He was not with the team during the fall while he was handling some things off the field, Tennessee coach Tony Vitello said at the time.

I didn't really follow the off-season of his departure but didn't he and his family basically shite all over Bama? I remember there being people on this site that did not wish him well but couldn't remember the reason

As I recall some Bama Fans and one of his brothers had some fairly public “Twitter fights” after his departure. I didn’t dig too deeply into it because I stay busy trying to keep up with Bama. I knew he didn’t play this past season but never found out why.

Hate to see it simply bc he was one the very few who had SEC “stuff”… needed refining but had potential

It seemed like his mental game played a role. Maybe another atmosphere will be the change he needs. He made it pretty clear he wanted to be a starting pitcher in the rotation and maybe when that didn’t happen he couldn’t handle?

I have to admit, it's hard watching Tennessee become a power like they are right now. There is excitement in that program that I wish we had. It's not just that they are good, but they provide an exciting product to watch with all the homers they hit

Scratching my head at who is being invited to Team USA trials. Did they use 2023 season’s stats and not watch this season?

Seems odd for Denton to end up there unless he just wants to be close to home
