I mean you can't let him keep throwing. He's hanging/throwing down the middle 3-4 pitches an inning. There is no shot he gets through 4-5 without giving up 5-6 runs.

This is going about how I expected. We’re struggling to make contact and they’re crushing everything.

Our offense is and has been so bad to watch

Bo's a young coach so hopefully he'll learn, but his game management of pitchers has been absolutely atrocious.

There is no reason for Tyler Ras to still be in right now. He's not getting dinked around with some unlucky stuff. He's getting hammered.

That's my biggest complaint with him. Bad at handling pitchers.

Bigger problem is that Ras is the best we have to go in such an important game.

That's certainly an issue, but you have to understand that and know that Ras is either on or not on. And when he's not on he throws hanging batting practice and you have to go get him.

Especially in a tournament game.

The Bobby Cox method. Just let em work through it on the mound. Fine for the regular season. Epic disaster come playoff time when that 3 run 6th inning the pitcher never should have still been in the game for is what ends your season.

And some dudes you can do that. Some guys do figure it out, but other guys are either good or bad, and Ras has proven to either be on and painting or off and throwing hangers.

You have to understand that as the manager. I don't get it.

But none of it really matters because our hitting is pretty much a joke for the last month.

- 3.2 Runs Per Game
- 9 of 13 games with 3 or less runs
- 6 of 13 games with 2 or less runs

I hope there’s at least some thought of a change at hitting coach after the season.

The pitching issues are understandable given the injuries to the top 2 guys and having to bump everyone else up 2 slots.

The hitting issues, while we've had some injuries, are a problem. This lineup should not have this level of ups and downs (mostly downs).

Yeah there are some guys who take 20-25 pitches to get into a groove and if you don't get them early you won't get them at all, but they're few and far between. It's usually the opposite where guys run out of gas after 75-80 pitches, or a guy who is either hot or cold and you know it like 10 pitches into the game.

I mean good gosh Bo - Ras is just throwing 89 MPH fastballs belt high down the middle.
