I think you're 100% right. He botched that Nike deal in the midst of arguably the greatest dynasty in CFB history. And people defended him as a "business man".
Did any of hires work out? Granted Avery wasn't a total disaster, but remember Byrne had to renegotiate his buyout and part ways with him in year four. If we don't have a boss AD like Byrne, then who knows where the basketball program would be.

Man I just busted my arse all morning getting my shite done so Id have nothing to do after lunch and could watch the game. So I clock in for lunch, grab my food out of the fridge and walk into the maintenance office with the TV to watch the game and I see this score.....WTF happened?
