my point is after 3.5 years we are seeing some improvement in the team but there are decisions he makes like starting Rose in CP and not pinch hitting for him with the game on the line with him batting under 200 is a head scratcher. OUr starting pitcher was struggling and he should have been pulled before they went up 8-6. Rocker was horrible last night and this was Bama's chance to steal one with all the runners we left on base.
I mean I get all that, but I didn't know there was some sort of staunch Bo defender group.
He has pros and cons, still learning how to be a head coach.

Yeah? Who were you going to put in? I doubt that you know who all of our pitchers are, much less their ERA and how they’ve performed in their previous outings.
There is a reason that Ras got that start and for why he stayed in the game. Coach has watched these guys for years. He knows who has what stuff. He knows who performed better in scrimmages. He knows who has performed better in previous games. He knows who has the best mental make up. He’s not an arm chair coach with the benefit of hindsight.
Just because a second pitcher came in and did well does not mean that if Bo had put the hook on Ras earlier that the guy would have lead us to victory. One cannot predict things with 100% accuracy like that.
It’s been a brutal year injury wise. There’s no way that Bo predicts to lose his top two pitchers. Prielipp hasn’t pitched much at all against SEC quality hitters, but judging from outside conference performance, one would have to figure that if he kept things going AND performed to his standard, he would have given us a very good chance last night. Nevertheless, maybe had Prielipp pitched then Rocker would have been on and our bats silent and he would have lost 2-0. Baseball is an unpredictable game.
As to playing Rose. Who were you going to put there? Sometimes teams play defense over offense and hope that their hitters show up. Most of our good hitters didn’t show up. They were also going against probably the first pick in this year’s draft. With a guy like Rocker on the mound, I might assume that my better hitting but defensively weaker CF is going to fail at the plate and look to get better defense up the middle. Besides, With our injuries this year, we don’t even know who is available to play.
Let’s lighten up here. We were playing the number 2 team in the country. Even if we were as talented as they are, stuff happens. Teams lose unexpectedly in baseball.
Agree with all this. The only move last night I kinda question was not pinch hitting for Rose late down 3 with 2 on. Starting him is fine, that's a reasonable call if you think his defense is worth it. Not sure why he hits in a spot like that late, though.
As for the pitching, not sure what else to do. We only have 3-4 guys who can truly get good lineups out. We can't use the 2-3 relievers all in 1 game.

What a boner move by the Vandy right fielder diving for the ball with two outs and Rose on deck.
Obviously not the brightest for a Vandy guy.

We’re 100% getting swept.
Have to take two from LSU and one from MSU to hopefully get to a regional.

5-1 Vandy, B5
We're just not quite good enough on the mound yet to beat elite teams.

We have Shamblin warming up? Who are we starting tomorrow?
Green?
Hell I’d start Chase. What’s the point of having him available in the 7th tomorrow down 8 runs.

2nd game without Drew Williamson. Described as a hand/wrist injury, not thought to be ‘too serious’ on the radio broadcast yesterday. Mixing up the infield today. Landon Green is the starting pitcher. Many thought we would be doing well to get out of Vandy with one win - let’s get it today! RTR!
