I'm excited. Could end up being a huge hire. Can't wait for the press conference. Interested to see what he does with the staff and recruiting.

Listening to his career trajectory he has a lot of things to sell to kids. Started as a JUCO, went to a NAIA school, went to Southern and led the country in assists two years in a row, went undrafted, was a career journeyman, cut twice the Spurs, and ends with getting his jersey retired by the Spurs.
I'd strongly recommend the Jalen Rose video I posted. Very cool look in to him.

I really had no idea who Avery Johnson was before this coaching search. Watching the video with Rose, he seems like a really likable guy.

Apparently, TAMU can thank Avery Johnson for this Recruit. Top 2 TX recruit. Top 5 center. I'd take it.

We are a Nike school. Not sure what his son's AAU team was though.
