The Purdue and Texas Tech losses yesterday helped a lot.
These 3/4 seeds are all over the place in most brackets right now:
3 Purdue
3 Nebraska
3 Texas Tech
4 Gonzaga
4 Alabama
4 Virginia
4 Kansas

a #3 seed seems very possible if we beat 2 tourney-bound SEC teams Friday and Saturday but we probably also need some favorable results from a few of these games to help:
Iowa St (or whoever) over Texas Tech on Thursday
Purdue to lose to USC Thursday OR at least Illinois Friday
Kansas to not beat a high seed like Houston on Friday
Gonzaga losing in WCC tourney and Virginia to not outshine us in reaching ACC final would help as well

He also said that we punked them, and seemed to be referring to physicality (blocks, etc.) and rebound disparity. In that sense, he wasn’t really wrong on either of those.

Really either Texas or Georgia but Texas would be playing with extra motivation to get safely off the bubble.

We don’t match up well with Texas, but they’d be on their 3rd game. However, the Friday game is always a bit dangerous when playing a team who has only played once and gotten used to the rims for their shooters.
I’ll say UGA as we’d get a bit more credit for beating them and wouldn’t get punished as bad if we lost a close one. I could see playing a tired Texas as being a better option, though.
