Reasonable. Don't like there only being 1 bye week, but at least we are not running into half the conference having bye weeks before playing us. October is when we will see if we are playoff contender or not

We should be 5-0 heading into the Georgia game.

Should being the key word.

I think it will be easier than the 2024-2025 schedules. However, it is not an easy schedule and will likely be among the top by SOS.

September is about as easy as we've had since before Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa.

The October is about as hard as we've ever had in my lifetime. Mississippi State has been competitive with many SEC opponents under Lebby, so I wouldn't expect that to be a breather. Especially since Alabama is likely State's first big home game (without looking). After that we play 3 playoff contenders (2 of them I suspect will be national title favorites heading into the season).

With that said, I think we get to the open date 7-1 with a loss to Texas A&M heading into the bye week then go undefeated in November for the first time under DeBoer.

11-1 but possibly sitting at home due to the loss to Aggy in October. That assumes that Elko has vanquished the Aggy season rollercoaster. Aggy just feels like a team 1 year away in 2025. They had a soft schedule but Reed seems like he's on the cusp of becoming elite instead of just a really great college QB.

They host Missouri the week before our game.

That's good because Drink's defense will probably cheap shot half their offense the week before us.

A&M game will e really tough. I can only imagine how beat up we'll be heading into the 8th straight game.

Do agree that the schedule looks easier on paper than this years, and we should finish 3-0 so we'll have an opportunity to get back in good graces in the polls if we drop 1-2 between week 6-10

It's a home game, but I feel the same way. They're going to get us on the last game before a bye after playing two other playoff contenders. They get to play an FCS school the week prior. It is a setup to get Aggy a scalp for their resume if I've ever seen one.

Edit: I think we can get to Atlanta still with losing that game having looked at Aggy's schedule and seeing that we're the first game of the meat of their schedule. Ending the season on Tenn, OU, Texas is going to hand them at least 1 loss and maybe more.

Posted in other thread but.. Pretty manageable. Though the four difficult games are clustered together. Should absolutely open 5-0. Last three should be victories as well with Auburn being at home. Go 2-2 against UGA, A&M, Tennessee, and LSU and should finish no worse than 10-2.

These schedules are going to be the norm from now on. 9th game plus SEC scheduling for TV ratings means we will have a gauntlet every year.

All the more reason to scrap every OOC with any quality programs. 9 SEC games is more than enough to assure a strong SOS.

The Georgia game I don’t get. I thought the schedule was going to be rotating our conference games. Looks like we will be playing Georgia for four straight years. At some point, I would think we would get to schedule Florida, Ole Miss or Texas again instead of Georgia.

I was about to post the exact same thing. Are they making Bama/UGA a permanent thing? If so, they're going to playing each other twice a year a lot.

Yeah, I want to play Texas. We need to close the gap on W-Ls with them.
