Nice bounce back for Briski.

Alabama got the 1 win they needed, tomorrow is just extra.

And there it is. The reason Murph needs to be fired. Our once great program has fallen to the point where fans are satisfied winning one game of a series in our own house.

Are you kidding? We’re playing the 4 time reigning national champions. Be realistic. Alabama won, be happy, not miserable.

Used to be realistic to expect Bama softball to beat anyone they stepped on the field with. Especially in Rhoads. But I'm glad you're happy.

It was never realistic to expect to beat Oklahoma. Let’s not lie.

We're supposed to expect our team to win every time. Why else do we watch or go to games? BTW, Bama beat Oklahoma for the championship in 2012. A long time ago, I know but they were supposedly unbeatable then, too. Proud of the team and how they played today. Hope they continue to play well and win the series tomorrow as well as the rest of the season. Roll Tide Roll!

Well, it’s a good thing they are not intimidated, because they’re not getting any help from the dugout. When our once mighty and proud softball program has come to the point where we just hope to get a win at home against Oklahoma it’s time to change coaches. Yes they’re the four-time defending national champions. We used to relish opportunities like that and would stand toe to toe with them, but not anymore. We’re just hoping not to get swept at home.

Here is hoping Murph retires but here is why he wont be fired.

The former players love him. The crowds are some of the best in the country. The media loves him. He is respected by the other coaches for what he has done at Bama for close to 30 years. The rest of college SB has caught up to him just like FB caught up to The bear in the early 80's and NS recently.

Greg B would be the laughing stock of the softball world and the media if he made a change.

Hats off to the ladies (especially Briski). I thought she would be too damaged mentally to trot back out there yesterday but trot she did. And went a complete game. No errors defensively. Hit all three Oklahoma pitchers. Awesome bounce back after a deflating, last inning collapse on Saturday. Could not be happier for the team. Great crowds so far - hope the turnout is good tonight too.

There’s going to be some very upset Alabama fans when Murphy has a top 5 team next year. This team is very close to putting it together.

True and we will need a Montana Fouts type pitcher to get over the hump. Most great teams have someone like that. We have 2 that are very good but not up to her standards.

Should have a nice returning core. IMO the three biggest needs are

1) #1 pitcher

Briski is good but she’s probably better as a 2nd option. Need one of the freshmen or a transfer to step up as the ace.

2) C transfer

I’m sure Giles and Valentine are nice girls but they need to be recruited over. We’ve had a hole there since Shipman left.

3) IF transfer

Always need more HR threats

Out of eligibility

Ellestad, Heivilin, Clark, Winstead, Riley

Can Return

P: Briski, Hodges, Johnson

IF/C: Pupillo, Duchscherer, Giles, Hawkins, Hubbard, Marceaux

OF: Vandagriff, Preuitt, White, LoJo

Adding

Vic Moten and Kaitlyn Pallozi (P)

Holly Beth Brooks (C)

Gerritt Griggs (UTL/IF)

Ana Roman (OF)

Ambrey Taylor (IF)

Tied 1-1 B6

Girls are competing hard this series. I’m honestly shocked at how good the pitching has been other than the 1 inning against this OK offense. Hope we can find a way to win this one.
