What? Oklahoma, UCLA, Florida, Florida State, and Washington all have coaches that won the WCWS. Patty Gasso has absolutely run circles around Murphy since 2016 and it's ridiculous . He needs to go. PERIOD.

Ed Orgeron and Dabo Swinney both have one of those too and I don’t want either of those clowns anywhere near Tuscaloosa. Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.
Pat Murphy is the Ed Orgeron of college softball: win it all once with lightning in a bottle and put it on cruise control because you think you’re a savant. And just like Orgeron, we need to run his arse out of town before he does any more damage to the program than he already has. Alabama is a fading star in softball and our name doesn’t carry nearly the weight it once did. We’re on the verge of becoming the softball version of Nebraska football: a once proud powerhouse that faded away as the game evolved beyond their style of play.

Surprise, surprise, surprise

quote:

Alabama softball evened its weekend series with a gutsy 2-1 win over Texas A&M Saturday afternoon at Davis Diamond.

Alabama (22-11, 2-3 SEC) and Texas A&M (25-5, 5-3 SEC) traded runs in the opening inning and it remained 1-1 until Catelyn Riley (6-1) helped her own cause in the circle with a fourth-inning solo home run to make it 2-1. That proved enough as a stingy Crimson Tide defense paired with solid relief innings from Emily Winstead and Jocelyn Briski closed it out, with Briski earning her first save of the season.

Alabama freshman Audrey Vandagriff stole her 40th base of the year, moving her into a tie for 10th place in Alabama single-season history with Kelly Kretschman's 1998 freshman total. Kayla Braud's 41 from 2012 is next on the list with Kretschman's 43 from 2000 above that.

Two batters, hit by pitch, back-to-back. One scores and A&M leads 1-0. Can't help but wonder how good this team might be if we had good pitching.

DANG! This one is a heartbreaker. Really hate it for the team. Team fought hard to come back from a 6-1 deficit. Ellastead hit a grand slam to bring it to 6-5 and ended the inning with a 7-6 lead. Had to start rotating pitchers again and lost 9-7.

She does throw hard but I question the gun at A&M… other pitcher was throwing some at 72 and had Johnson throwing some at 69 and I didn’t think she could hit that number they just couldn’t throw strikes when it was needed to close the game out

This is approaching Alabama baseball/Greg Goff level bad if we haven’t already gotten there.

It is no secret that I have advocated for getting rid of his arse for many years. He has never been and will never be a good softball coach. Enough is enough.
