Alabama just announced a three-game series with USF: Sept. 16, 2023 in Tampa and Sept. 7, 2024 and Sept. 12, 2026 in Tuscaloosa.

UCF could learn a thing or 2 from USF

Cue the "we're too good to go to USF" crowd.

If this is what we have to do to avoid the 2019 embarrassment of the OOC schedule then so be it.

UCF gets home and homes with P5 programs regularly. I don’t blame them for not giving up a ton of money doing a 2 for 1 with Florida.

Its a great 2nd OOC game.

USF is top 5 G5 program IMO.

I’m fine with scheduling this, but I don’t think they’re top 5.

Boise, UCF, Houston, Memphis, Fresno, San Diego State, Cincinnati are all better

I would only put Boise,UCF, and Houston ahead of them.

They have Stanford this year and unless they can charge 2x the price UCF would come out negative on that because, unlike USF, they usually fill their stadium.

The strategies make sense for each program.

I would prefer they come here twice before we go there, but I'm fine with scheduling USF.

What?

This year against Stanford is the first one in a long time.

Got Texas at home and play at South Florida in 2023. Nice, hope they are not back to back games that year.

They’ve had Maryland, Pitt, Ga Tech, and North Carolina in the past 3 seasons.

Good example of why the P5 label is kind of dumb.

Those are not quality opponents and isn't anywhere near the level of Alabama or other blue bloods.

Yep all those P5 opponents are garbage. They want the big boys—and respect—they’re gonna have to earn it by doing some 2-1 deals. Period, the end.

Based on what? Every team he listed has more all-time wins, bowl appearances, and conference championships than USF. Most have better winning percentages. Fresno State in particular is ahead of South Florida in every statistic. They're just a decent group of five.

Anyone still butthurt about UCF needs to grow up. Has Bama made any attempt to schedule them? At any rate, it's clear that it's impossible for any G5 team to make the playoff - they can barely crack the Top 15 when they go undefeated. Part of why the BCS was vastly Superior to this farcical committee.

Im talking about CURRENTLY I would only put those 3 ahead. All time they are nowhere near top 5.
