NFL schedule released...Patriots have the most difficult schedule in the league. Going to be tough for Mac.

Why do you want Mac out of New England?

I think he's been almost sabotaged by Belichick after the bizarre moves he made last season. It sounds like the relationship has really broken down based on off season chatter... Belichick certainly does nothing to dispel the rumors. I just can't believe how they did Mac after he showed such promise as a rookie and even was a Pro Bowl alternate.

Plus the weight of the Brady legacy there...plus it's probably the toughest division in the NFL now. The Brady dynasty occured when they basically had no competition in the AFC east. The Bills and Jets were mostly horrible back then and the Dolphins average at best. All 3 of those teams are much better now...but that's never talked about when Mac is evaluated by the talking heads. A fresh start somewhere might be what's needed.

Assuming the Patriots would trade him, I think Houston should go Anderson at #2...trade back from #12 to gain an extra pick in the 2nd or 3rd that they could package together for Mac. Then go best player available towards the end of the first after trading back.

Lots of what ifs there lol...but at the end of the day, I don't think they trade Mac...for better or worse.

Great points Chad. However, BB realized he screwed up with the dual OCs last year and this year will be so much better for Mac in that regard. Also, they did great in the draft with getting 3 OLs in the 4th round. VERY possible that 2 of those will pan out to be starters. Mac will be much better protected with more time to throw.

Going to a different team does not always mean a better outcome for the QB... So many QBs in the NFL struggle to have early success. Not every organization is going to take the strategy of giving the QB everything he wants, Miami being the exception.

I know their division is one of the toughest, but I do not care what the idiots on TV say about Mac. BB knows Mac will be good, just giving him some tough love. Mac DOES need to continue to grow as a leader and not have some of the sideline episodes like he did last year. I expect Mac to have a better season this year, even if they do not have a better record....

JMO...

Apparently Mark Ingram has an offer to join Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff. He’d be great in that role

I wish he'd join our coaching staff.

I know the Heisman is a college award, but it has always made me happy how after all the bitching about him winning it Ingram ended up having an infinitely more successful pro career than Gerhart.

Some fans were chirping Tua for having a camera on his helmet the other day so Miami’s QB1 trolled the haters with a Polaroid camera on his helmet today.

Also, DeAndre Hopkins is visiting the Pats today. Is it possible Mac may have one legit WR to throw to next year?

I hope Tua and Mac both light it up this season. Still sucks they're in the same division. Mac desperately needs a legit WR1.

Mac is in a really tough spot. The AFC East is even more brutal now with Rodgers on the Jets and the Pats have arguably the worst roster in the division.
