Draft the best available WR too
You're not serious, are you? Patriots drafting a WR in the first is like Browns drafting a QB in the first. It's guaranteed to bust.
Whatever happened to Chad Jackson?

As sad as I am to say it because we are the same age, that was almost 20 years ago.
I just went and looked at all of the receivers they’ve selected in the first or second round since Jackson. The list is:
N’Keal Harry- bust
Aaron Dodson- never heard of him, bust
Tyquan Thornton- he’s a rookie.
You are correct, Bill doesn't have a great track record at selecting WRs and doesn’t even try.

NE took an interior linemen that most had graded in the third or fourth round as their first round pick last year. The shite they do sometimes.

Jeudy scored multiple touchdowns in Week 14. For Jeudy, he became just the fourth player from Alabama to score at least three receiving touchdowns in a game. Jeudy joins Don Hutson, who did it three times, Amari Cooper and Calvin Ridley, who both did it in 2018.

Interesting note. Hard to believe Julio never has had a three TD game.

For a player of his stature Julio has had very few TDs in his career relative to other superstar WRs.
It’s a strange stat.

Matt Ryan had a lot to do with that.

Thing is, he has been arguably their best lineman. He has had a decent year. Certainly worthy of where he was drafted.
They need more oline help. Even more than they need WR. They need to both sign some one like Orlando Brown, and draft a tackle.
Making the process harder, there are no good WRs in FA this year. Best one is maybe DJ Chark.

Bill does not value wide receivers and almost never takes them in the first round.
He told the Falcons owner they shouldn't waste an early pick on Julio Jones cause they could have Jonathan Baldwin who is just as good later. He acts like receiver are interchangeable like running backs because he had Brady making chicken salad out of chicken shite for years.

He never had a chance. He is lucky to be able to walk after all the hit he took.

Strange has played ok for a rookie...but it doesn't change the fact he could have easily been had in the 2nd, even if they had him graded higher than any other teams. I think he might have been gone in the third.
Belichick tries to make a hundred out of left field picks...then if he hits on a couple he thinks it makes him look like a genius. I know he's won a ton...but he's never won without Brady. They've done a pretty bad job building that roster even going back to Brady's last season there. Look at the FA money they put into two TEs...made no sense.

New England's draft should look something like this.
1st-Jahmyr Gibbs or OL/OT
2nd-Drew Sanders
3rd-CB
4th-Demario Douglas (Shifty Slot Receiver)
5th-OT/DT

New England needs olinemen, receivers, and linebackers. I'd say their most important needs is olinemen, receivers. They've got to protect Mac and then he needs someone to throw to.
Damian Harris needs a supply of deer antler spray or something. He's always injured but he is still their best rb.

That's where your wrong...they have nobody like Gibbs! Harris will be off his rookie contract and they have Stevenson.
Posted on 12/14/22 at 2:47 pm to BFANLC
Ain't gonna say all that because Stevenson is just as effective.

If he can’t see how important WRs are today then he’s out of his mind. That’s “game has past him by” levels of delusion.

They don't need Gibbs when they have WRs that should have as much playing time as me. Stevenson, Harris, and the Jackrabbit (can't remember his name) are good enough. They have a much bigger need at WR, OL, and OC.
