They must be OT ballers.

I'm not an OT baller by any means, but I could swing a couple grand on bullshite if I needed/wanted to.

My kids would be eating grilled cheese sandwiches for a couple weeks, but I could manage it.

Perhaps they have good jobs where a couple grand is no issue?

They could, but my guess is they are pretty normal middle class folks. Either way, this is a pretty large monetary commitment to make if you arent seriously considering going to school there.

This is how I feel as well. Unless they are wealthy and just have moeny to blow and are bored, you don't do something like this imo. UCLA is a threat to land him and may even be in the drivers seat now.

My feeling is that they just want to be thorough and give all the schools an equal shot. He took his OV there during a game weekend and probably didn't get to see the campus like he did for us and Auburn on his OVs there.

He's been to Bama and Auburn multiple times (for games and after the season) so it makes sense to give UCLA the same courtesy. There's no telling how much money they have spent recruiting him this year by flying all the way to Auburn. It's not exactly the easiest place in the world to get to.

I won't start a thread for this and maybe the barner rustled my jimmies with the thread on Ed Stinson, but this doesn't sound like a guy "turning his back" on Alabama.

quote:

"I wish we would have prepared more for the Auburn game," said former defensive end Ed Stinson, who left the Senior Bowl on Tuesday because of a groin injury. "I wish my teammates would have been a little more disciplined on defense and on offense. We killed ourselves with penalties. Some players weren't doing their assignments. "I just feel like we could have done better. It's simple as that."

Non-VIP post from BOL regarding Christian Miller's older brother CJ:

Here's a video of Christian Miller's brother, C.J. playing basketball. Thought some of yall might find this interesting. C.J. is the one who had a dunk contest with Bo Scarbrough at Nick Saban's house last weekend. He's also thinking about attending UA and has all of his eligibility left in both sports.

Pretty impressive, IMO

He looks like a pretty good athlete, but i'd like to see something other than him getting junk buckets from wide open dunks. Grant should give him a look though, our basketball team needs all the help they can get these days.

Our basketball team should be used to give schollys to friends and shite for as worthless as they are. At shooting guard.....Dddddavid Kamara! At power forward.....Big Zach Mayyyynard!

It would be more effective than playing Carl Engstrom IMO. He is as uncoordinated as he was the first day he stepped on campus.

Nick Saban met with Jacob Coker yesterday, today is in Cali for 2015 QB 5-star commit Ricky Town school. Two high profile gunslingers. #Bama

USC mods are convinced they will flip Town. Time to start shoring up a backup plan just in case.

That's what I figured but now USC can tell him Bama is recruiting other QBs even though you committed to them.
