You and I must have been hanging out with totally different people then.

I can say that a ton of people who worked at the base were Bama fans.

I could see Meridian being a Bama town too. It just always felt like a State town to me.

That Brageous guy literally, and figuratively, described Memphis in an attempt to talk shite to Bucc in that Hootie thread.

Irony at it's finest.

Shea Dixon just posted that he is not as confident in Hootie picking LSU than he was before the visit.

Need a 247 account

Terry Saban to the WSJ:

quote:

"We have decided: this is where we are going to end our career."

"We're staying," she said. "We're not going anywhere."

Does this mean "He not gone?"

She was probably doing a telephone interview from Austin when she said that. That way she wasn't technically lying.

He gone.

Base people and Caledonia is pretty much all Bama. New Hope has both with some OM mixed in. Columbus is split. Seems more of a Bama town than when I was growing up because Bama is on top now. But in, say....2004, I was the only one walking CHS halls with Bama shite. My old teammates have even said on fb that anyone in our graduating class claiming Bama that isn't me is full of shite.

Well I lived in Caledonia and it was definitely Pro-Bama. Smarter people out that way IMO.

If you have a 247 account you should check out the thread I linked earlier from Geaux247: LINK

I think you'll recognize some of the posters names. Shea Dixon blows up that "all Bama confidence on Hootie comes from BOL" nonsense.

I'm just ready for his announcement. He's a good kid and he gave both staffs enough time to press for another safety if he doesn't choose them.

It's not that he picked Bama. It's the way he went about it.

They really are a funny bunch. I particularly enjoyed that post in the Geaux247 thread where they told Shea they believed their "sources" on TD more than him (I'm paraphrasing).

And next cycle they'll say that they always knew he was going to Bama like they're saying about LC and CRob now

My question is why is is LF taking his time announcing? Wouldn't he want to tell his instate fans the good news?

I'm kinda curious if he's made up his mind yet

Who knows? Some guys just want to take their time. Could be he's not completely decided yet but I think he'll stay home ultimately.

Fournette is going to LSU...we'll get Hootie though who plays a position of need

ETA: While the meltdowns wouldn't be comparable, the Hootie melt will still be epic
