Freeze knows he won't be able to bring in another class like he did last year. He has to get top tier talent anyway he can

Yep. Mom's probably gonna win this one in the end. He did sport a Tide shirt under his UK jacket at the game however.

hopefully the mom will come around. kentucky will never, ever be able to offer the opportunity for development and national exposure that alabama will.

Yep, it can't even be to the point where he is saying I can play early and make them better. Literally him choosing Kentucky will put his career in jeopardy.

Kentucky puts their guys in the NFL and if that is his ultimate goal, and playing close to home, then UK is not a bad choice. Everytime I see an NFL game I hear of at least a kid that played at UK

why do crimson koolaid drinkers think the only program that can get a kid to the NFL is Bama. NOt every kid wants to move 500 miles away from home to play for Bama. All kids have different things that motivate him but to say a big time stud is hurting his chances because he chose a bottom feeder does not hurt his NFL chances. NFL scouts see talent and that is why teams like Samford and UTC and Marshall have kids in the NFL.

You do realize there is a difference from "getting a kid into the NFL" and "getting a kid to be a first round draft pick" right?

You don't have to drink any kool-aid to see that and the proof if there for all to see.

Who? Randall Cobb is the only one I can think of.

I agree with your point about NFL scouts recognizing talent. Bama will better prepare him for the league than UK. It'd be awfully hard for me to turn down the offer to Bama no matter what momma said.

Yea coming to Bama doesn't guarantee a 5* will get to the league either. How many 5*s that came to Bama that didn't pan out? How many 4*s?......Exactly! Our staff does a great job preparing guys, but it isn't a guarantee lkke it isn't a guarantee he won't get there if he chooses Kentucky. He will play in the SEC and play against enough elite talent week in and out to get noticed

I think the argument would be come to Bama and work against the best everyday in practice. The competition will make you a better player than going somewhere where you won't face the same level of competition on a daily basis.

Right also Bama's pedigree of 1st rd draft picks is impressive in itself and you make a lot more money early on than if you get drafted in a lower rd and gotta make the team and work to not get cut

It basically comes down to his work ethic. No matter where he goes if he puts in the work he will be just fine. I wanthim here but if his mom wants him at home I understand and wish him the best of luck. We will be fine

No one is saying we wouldn't be fine. We're just acknowledging that going to a bigger school (Alabama, LSU, Florida, etc) is the SEC does help when trying to get into the NFL.

Also getting to the NFL is one thing, being a high draft pick coming from great coaching who doesn't have to earn a spot is another. There is a higher chance of the later at one of the bigger SEC schools.
