Holy crap man, there has been like 15 offers in the last 3 days to OL and all the kids are saying direct contact was made with Mario...

Safe to say he is working his arse off

Also Jermaine Roberts said his top 3 are Texas, Texas A&M and Bama

He's coming to see Master Saban on March 9th

He's been on staff of some pretty good oline units. I'm more confident with MC than I was with Stoutland coming in

Heck yeah, remember after the BCSNCG, Saban was like they lost a few weeks recruiting and had some work to do. I knew at that point we would be going around pissing in corn flakes, especially after the Walker stuff... Hello A'Shawn, Eddie Jackson, Reuben Foster, etc.

This go round its time to makeup for missing on Tunsil. Hello Super Mario. Do work son!!!!!!

ETA: I realize we would be heavily targeting OL's this cycle with or without Tunsil, but there is a nastiness to it. I'm sure Bucc isn't the only one that feels it. RTR!!!!!!!!!!!

Love that kid as a guard. Finishes his blocks and definitely has the nasty we need. He is not a OT and he seems to like to wrap defenders up.

I've noticed a growing trend since the Cristobal hire of offering maulers over technique guys.

Watch that JUCOs film from yesterday. He just punishes people. He plays to the whistle even if he is 30 yards downfield.

I am anxious to hear Bauer, Sims, and Cameron Robinson's opinion of Mario once each one meets him, has to be great, he is an awesome coach with an infectious attitude

You can teach technique, but attitude is innate. Love this trend and hope it continues.

Small update on Lorenzo Carter:

quote:

On March 16, Carter will visit Alabama. The Tide offered him in December and is considered a major player in Carter's recruitment, though he claims to have no leaders or favorites yet.

Carter spoke with Tide coach Nick Saban on Thursday.

"He said he's excited about me scheduling my visit to see them on the 16th," Carter said. "That's the first day of spring practice. He also told me, 'Good luck Saturday.'"

quote:

"My parents have only been to Georgia and Georgia Tech," Carter said. "They loved Georgia. And they liked Tech a lot. They were real cool with the staff. They've got to get around. They've talked on the phone to a few coaches. But I want them to meet the coaches at all the schools I really like."

quote:

"There are a lot of places I want them to see," Carter said. "They've got to get to Alabama, Vanderbilt, Miami, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, then the west coast schools -- USC, UCLA and I think I'm interested in Arizona. Also, Kentucky, Clemson, South Carolina, LSU … I know I'm forgetting somebody."

No mention of Auburn. Very interdasting.

quote:

Carter said he is more interested in a program itself than what conference that school competes in. As as now, Georgia, Oklahoma State and South Carolina seem to be recruiting him hardest, he said.

I stand corrected on AU...Mag was right, doesn't seem like AU will be a factor when allis said & done

some "Intredasting" comments to say the very least on UGA as well:

Not that surprising. I'm pretty sure he has expressed a desire to play in a 3-4, which means a likely Bama-UGA battle.

LINK ]Nick Saban Once Yanked a Kid’s Scholarship Because He Tweeted 32,000 Times [Update: Or He Didn't]

quote:

UPDATE: In the two minutes since this post went up, that entire post was pulled and now this is on the front page:

"After reviewing notes again, Saban used tweeting kid as an example of someone who was not in football for the right reasons. I do not know if the scholarship was pulled or not. The notes from the Saban Louisville Clinic have been taken down until corrections can be made."

Oh well. This is what used to be a great story. Let’s just pretend.
