Not every day you get to talk with Nick Saban and have him tell you that you have a scholarship offer to Alabama. #RollTide #Blessed

Junior Day details:

quote:

The top-ranked 2014 prospect expected to attend is Tucker (Ga.) defensive tackle Elisha Shaw. The Crimson Tide were the first team to offer the 6-foot-4.5, 295-pounder last summer and have been among Shaw’s favorites since that time. Currently, the Tide sit at the top of the top 50 prospect’s list along with in-state Georgia. Shaw has kept in regular communication with the Tide staff, most recently speaking with head coach Nick Saban on Thursday.

quote:

Goose Creek (S.C.) Stratford quarterback Jacob Park recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide and will be making his first trip to the Capstone this weekend. Park, who also holds offers from Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Auburn, NC State, and Tennessee is fresh off an unofficial visit to Blacksburg and the Hokies are thought to be the favorite heading into this weekend

quote:

It’s no secret that the 2014 cycle in Louisiana is loaded with fifteen prospects from the Pelican State already holding four-star status from 247Sports. Three of those prospects- linebacker Kenny Young, defensive end Davon Godchaux, and defensive tackle Garrald McDowell are expected to be in Tuscaloosa.

Bama offered Zach Whitley, LB from North Shore High School in Galena Park, Texas.

Same HS as DeAndre White, Whitley is thought to want to leave the state of Texas for college.

If 6'2, 210-220 is accurate, wonder if we're recruiting him as a LB or safety

I hope they aren't letting his weight get in the way of something like that. You can make big LBs, you don't necessarily have to have them out of HS.

BTW Did you see that CJ Mosley's brother is attending Junior Day? He's definitely taller, but weighs less than CJ out of HS. His running style seems a bit off as well, don't know why. It's like a prance or something...

I think being CJ's brother is really the only notable thing about him. He's a tall, lanky LB otherwise.
