You all really need to turn off your televisions. This is purely MSM created hysteria. Trump has already said this will be over by April. Has tweeted several times that influenza strains we already have here are far worse than this.

Think logically. What is going on all over the world? Wake up. Ever think there might be “other” reasons for travel bans? Think rats running, or unable to do so.

Check back in a month and we will see how all this shakes out.

A study from England reaffirms a lot of what we already knew, but the possible racial factor is news.

Have you ever thought about checking yourself into a conspiratorial rehabilitation center?

He didn’t himself say any of that. It’s quotes he bookmarked a few months ago from other posters. He just didn’t use the quote feature properly.

Retired colorectal surgeon from NY, Dr.Sam Laucks on using masks.

RETIRED SURGEON Sam Laucks, has this to say about wearing masks:
“OK, here’s my rant...
I have spent the past 39 years working in the field of surgery. For a significant part of that time, I have worn a mask. I have worked with hundreds (probably thousands) of colleagues during those years, who have also worn masks.
Not a single one us of became ill, passed out or died from lack of oxygen. Not a single one of us became ill, passed out or died from breathing too much carbon dioxide. Not a single one us of became ill, passed out or died from rebreathing a little of our own exhaled air.
Let’s begin here by putting those scare tactics to rest!
(It is true that some people, with advanced lung diseases, may be so fragile that a mask could make their already-tenuous breathing more difficult. If your lungs are that bad, you probably shouldn’t be going out in public at the present time anyway; the consequences if you are exposed to Covid-19 would likely be devastating.)
~ “But”, you ask, “can’t viruses go right through the mask, because they are so small?” (“Masks keep viruses out just as well as a chain link fence keeps mosquitoes out,” some tell us.) It is true that individual virus particles can pass through the pores of a mask; however, viruses don’t move on their own. They do not fly across the room like a mosquito, wiggle through your mask like a worm, or fly up your nose like a gnat.
.
~ The virus is essentially nothing more than a tiny blob of genetic material. Covid-19 travels in a CARRIER – the carrier is a fluid droplet- fluid droplets that you expel when you cough, sneeze, sing, laugh, talk or simply exhale. Most of your fluid droplets will be stopped from entering the air in the room if you are wearing a mask. Wearing a mask is a very efficient way to protect others if you are carrying the virus (even if you don’t know that you are infected). In addition, if someone else’s fluid droplets happen to land on your mask, many of them will not pass through. This gives the wearer some additional protection, too. But, the main reason to wear a mask is to PROTECT OTHERS. Even if you don’t care about yourself, wear your mask to protect your neighbors, co-workers and friends!
.
~ A mask is certainly not 100% protective. However, it appears that the severity of Covid-19 infection is at least partially “dose-dependent.” In other words, the more virus particles that enter your body, the sicker you are likely to become. Why not decrease that volume if you can? “What have you got to lose?!”
.
~ “But doesn’t a requirement or a request to wear a mask violate my constitutional rights?” You’re also not allowed to go into the grocery store if you are not wearing pants. You can’t yell “fire” in the Produce Department. You’re not allowed to urinate on the floor in the Frozen Food Section. Do you object to those restrictions? Rules, established for the common good, are component of a civilized society.
.
~ “But aren’t masks uncomfortable?” Some would say that underwear or shoes can be uncomfortable, but we still wear them. (Actually, being on a ventilator is pretty darned uncomfortable, too!) Are masks really so bad that you can’t tolerate them, even if they will help keep others healthy?
.
~ “But won’t people think I’m a snowflake or a wimp if I wear a mask?” I hope you have enough self-confidence to overcome that.
.
~ “But I never get sick; I’m not worried.” Well, then, wear a mask for the sake of the rest of us who are not so perfect!
There is good evidence that masks make a real difference in diminishing the transmission of Covid-19. Please, for the sake of others (and for the sake of yourself), wear your mask when in public. It won’t kill you!
P.S. - And, by the way, please be sure that BOTH your nose and mouth are covered!
Recommendations around mask usage are confusing. The science isn't.
Evidence shows that masks are extremely effective to slow the coronavirus and may be the best tool available right now to fight it.

It was from another thread and I wanted the time and date to be included. Figured it was clear enough.

This is what's happening:

1) States report new deaths. Regardless of when they happened. If they increase, media blows it up.

2) These deaths are reported to the CDC and lag a bit

3) When CDC updates numbers, we can see when those deaths were occurring the states had reported
quote:

Top row: Deaths reported publicly by week

West to East: Provisional death counts by CDC when death occurred, columns representing the week when CDC added them.

Color striping indicates a way to track trends based reporting week. First red = 1st week of data, Orange = 2nd, etc.

Our local health care people are starting to sound the alarm for Bay County. Hospitalizations due to COVID19 are rising and capacity is limited. Elective surgeries are going to be postponed starting next week. That’s not good news as we had one of the lowest case totals in the state but it’s been rising steadily and has tripled in the last 30 days.

L.A. teachers union says schools can't reopen unless charter schools get shut down, police defunded

I guess the safety and welfare of the children came in 3rd place.

Not to mention the quality of the education. It amazes me how many teachers and administrators hate charter schools but I’ve seen some of the reason why up close and personal. My kids go to a charter school. The county school district hates us and treats us like red headed step children. That is, until they want our test scores to boost their numbers. From what I’ve seen, our charter school selects good teachers who know how and want to teach, cuts out a lot of the bureaucratic bullshite, and requires the best effort from the students. Our motto is “High expectations, high achievement.” In short, they get better results from the kids with the same resources and it drives the mediocrity of the public school system and its politics nuts.

It’s not the school or teachers . It is similar to an academy . When you have better students , parents who value education , kids who are there to actually LEARN , you are going to get better results . Less bureaucratic shite also helps. It is why most teachers in public schools are getting out and getting burned out with teaching .... caring for and wanting to teach kids is not the problem

You ever wonder why states like Massachusetts who is usually at the top in achievement spend less per students and are usually at the bottom In spending than states like Mississippi , Alabama , Louisiana etc who spend the most but get terrible results ?

Police violence "is a leading cause of death and trauma for Black people, and is a serious public health and moral issue," the union writes.

Unions are worthless. This right here is inaccurate. The leading cause of homicides in LA is gang violence and accounts for over 60% of all homicides.

I guess their answer to defunding is let the close 1 million gang members there police the streets.

I am not sure what you mean by academy. In NC all public charter schools work on a lottery system for enrollment with no preference for academic background. At my children's charter school the lottery is weighted for socioeconomic disadvantaged children.

Meaning they are free from a lot of state mandates, can set their own curriculums , discipline rules , etc
