So CDC says you are immune for 3 months after covid. Yeah, they aren't bought and paid for.

More fear for the scared.

Democrats generally perform better when more people vote, so they have a vested interest in expanded voter access. Republicans generally do better when less people vote, so they have a vested interest in creating hurdles to vote.

The evidence for this is ambiguous at best. There was higher voter turnout in 2016 than 2012. There was also higher average turnouts for the elections Bush won than the ones Clinton did.

At my old job, we prosecuted voter fraud cases. Virtually every single one of them involved large scale absentee ballot fraud.

Uniontown, AL - 125% of the town's voting age population voted in the municipal election. Almost half were absentee ballots.

There's certainly voter fraud just like there's fraud with everything but those examples don't really make a case for the "mass fraud" fear porn Tide Saint is selling. No more than the small percentage of kids getting rare conditions from Covid means all kids need to be quarantined.

I'm also sure a lot goes on in places like Uniontown Alabama -- perhaps the poorest area I've personally seen in the entire United States -- that may not be the best example to consider for national policy.

Anyway, due to Covid, one expects the absentee ballot requests to be astronomical.

Issues with the USPS are something that will need to be dealt with regardless, especially considering that the regular absentee process in most states actually doubles or triples the amount of mailing back and forth.

People pointing to logistical problems with facilitating easier voting by mail are ignoring that this election will have immense logistical problems regardless: socially distanced "mask rebellion standoff" polling places, dealing with mass absentee ballots etc.

It's just a bit fishy that the same people arguing shutdown measures should have just been all the high risk people staying at home since they could do everything by mail/delivery are the same ones demanding they go out to vote in polling spots that will assuredly be a shite show in many places.

That's all fine and dandy about absentee ballots, but people seem to be ignoring the numbers dropping. Should be way down by election time.

Why should NY and NJ need vote by mail. Safe to go vote.

I have a pt job on the side at a major hospital kitchen and a few of my co-workers have tested positive (2 of them roommates). No one hospitalized, etc.

Call it "fear porn" or whatever you want, but there's a reason every nation on this planet has a voting system in place that primarily uses in-person voting. Every. Single. One. Why is that?

It's also weird that all of them require you to show an ID to vote. Strange, huh?

You even went so far as to propose online voting.

You honestly don't think there are enormous avenues for voter fraud that way?

It's certainly not failsafe, but I think online could be made more secure than mail-in votes.

I don't trust online voting unless I get an instant printed receipt that shows who I voted for that could be used as court evidence in case a tally is rigged.

Several states already mail ballots to every registered voter, and there isn't mass voter fraud in those states.

Well, that's a complete lie.

there haven't been any widespread allegations of voter fraud ever proven in those states.

Because they have moved to legalize or not prosecute ballot harvesting. And EVERY ballot harvester is a far left lackey who commits fraud. "Oh, haven't mailed it yet? That's okay. I can do that for you. I can even help you fill it out if you want. Hey, did you know that Trump just said he's going to take California residents' disability away if he's elected?"

Ballot harvesting is the sole reason that Democrats want universal mail in voting.

Hell, Nevada this year made it legal for elderly people to "request" that someone else fill out and hand in their ballot. Tell me with a straight face that Democrats don't intend to abuse the hell out of that little rule. It's the only reason Sisolak pushed the NV legislature to pass it.

I'd love to see Nevada nursing home election tallies this year.

Which one is she an active in?

Started with tears early, her preconceived favorites cut her in the first round (although she swore she was going in open minded). Glad to see your comment, that should make her feel better. That's hard, both ways. A LOT of the girls look good on paper. Mine looks pretty good on paper, I think. But she separates herself from the crowd face to face. Hard to do when you're reduced to virus rush this year. She only got 8 back after round 1, kept all 8 through round 2, so that made her happy and she really likes several of the 8. Going down to 2 tomorrow, so as long as she gets back one of her top two, she says she'll be happy. Girls!!!

Alpha Chi Or AXO. Really tough on the girls this year.

Your daughter will be happy in the end I am sure . Good luck to her . Shame they don’t get the full experience this year . Daughter has had two girls in her rush group or something test positive this week so they ( my daughter) have to get tested again every time . BTW , my daughters neighbors hadn’t sent in their tests yet so my daughter and her roommates stuck the swabs up the neighbors noses.... wouldn’t put much stock in some of these self or at home tests

What a conspiracy nutcase you sound like.

Approximately 3 seconds on Google revealed this Republican from North Carolina (but maybe he's the very, very, very only one ever and probably falsely accused right).

But just keep arrogantly spewing BS you completely make up while demanding "evidence" from other posters.

Between 2012 and 2018, 28.3 million mail-in ballots remain unaccounted for, according to data from the federal Election Assistance Commission. The missing ballots amount to nearly one in five of all absentee ballots and ballots mailed to voters residing in states that do elections exclusively by mail.
