Got my tix to the game tomorrow. They are selling fast. I ended up with seats that weren’t as good as were available this afternoon. Its not a sellout yet but its getting close. I estimate there’s about 500 seats left. Good to see interest is picking up. The sleeping giant is awakening. I’ve always said there’s a lot more interest in the basketball team than it appears because the fans don’t support a mediocre team. But put a winning product on the floor and they will pack Coleman.

Boonzone plays a very boring style of basketball.

This has been the case for 50 years. When C.M. Newton rebuilt the team and got them on equal footing with many big time programs, we'd fill the place up often and even when we didn't, the numbers were impressive.

UA has averaged around 12k since the early 80s. I did the math at one point not too long ago. (I realize tickets sold blah blah blah).

Woke up absolutely miserable I had to cancel plans to go to the game today. Had been given really good seats. Being an adult can be a drag sometimes, but family business comes first I guess.

We're ranked 4th in the country in scoring offense (83.2ppg)

Really hope our three point shooting picks back up today after the cold spell we've been going through the last two games. If we start back hitting our threes today, we should win big. Mizzou only averages 66.9ppg and is ranked 289th in the country in ppg.

Airball aside, Reese has been impressive the past couple of games. He has hit some big shots and looked quick off the dribble from baseline.

He’s had more driving dunks in the last couple games than I thought he’d have in his entire career. Not sure where he got this little bounce that’s shown up.

He leaned up a lot. Oats loves bigs that look like what he does now. He could always shoot, but he didn’t have athleticism. Oats is developing players which is already more than our past 2-3 coaches have done. Guys were coming in and leaving the same. Now they are getting gradually better and this is only his first season. If we can keep Herb and either Kira or Petty to stay for their year, we will be deadly next year. We get Rojas and hopefully JQ won’t leave.

That’s why I say ,if we build a new Coliseum it should not be less than 12000 seats.

Do you know what Donta is averaging in points blocks and rebounds?
Does he have a shot at Pistons roster this year or the next?

This is just not true. Grant developed a few players. Though he inherited him from Gottfried, Jamychal Green got better under Grant. Trevor Releford was a completely different player his senior year compared to his freshman season. Same with Retin Obasahan.

Avery was pretty bad at developing players, so I'll give you that. But Donta Hall developed some under him. But Grant was decent at developing players. Gottfried was a mixed bag. He got lazy his last couple of years though for sure.

North Carolina is BAD. We would run them out of the Gym if we played again. I gotta weird feeling this is Roy Williams last ride at UNC

Similarities with Grant/Avery:
Scoring droughts, throw the records out, beatable any given night, usual sure loss after a marquee win, look great in stretches, look terrible soon after, both are respected, good, family men.
Oates philosophy is night & day compared to theirs. Very happy we got him. Now, as Oates said, lose today & AU win won't matter.
