Not defending the NCAA by any means but I think part of the issue with Auburn is the basketball program’s legendary status with the NCAA as frequent fliers. I think just about every coach they’ve had for the past 40 years except Barbee has landed them in the NCAA doghouse at some point. Couple that with Bruce’s history with them and they aren’t going to give up easily. Not saying that Auburn deserves this treatment but their track record has earned it.

I fully expect to get throttled tomorrow. Our only PG is a guy who should be playing the 3, is turnover prone, and bad at dribbling. Press him all game from the inbound and they could end up with 20+ TO’s. We’ve got good size and athleticism, but no speed. I also expect 5 charges at a minimum since no one has learned to jump stop when driving or go straight vertical

I honestly thought this was a Bama fan posting, and I was agreeing with it.

Wasp or AA7, what is Cooper's alleged transgression?

No one knows exactly. People have said it’s because his dad is an agent and that they are investigating/questioning gifts his dad has given him and how it affects his amateur status, but haven’t seen anything concrete regarding what they’re investigating.

The rumor on twitter is Cooper has been cleared and will be playing tomorrow. Not confirmed yet but it looks like it’s heading that way. Would be the most Alabama basketball thing ever.

Ah, so they get their 5* PG back while our 5* PG is at home still cause of Covid.

Not sure if he’s been practicing or not. Idk the rules for all that but I assume he’s been able to if he’s gonna play. Can’t just throw him out there without ever getting to practice. But yeah it looks like it’s basically official at this point. Auburn fans, an Auburn Rivals guy, and one of Auburn’s former players is tweeting about it now.

Don’t forget that the NCAA got us last season with Q. Everyone got a waiver,,,,,,, except him

Word is he’s cleared. He’s been practicing for a couple weeks but that was after going 2.5 months without practicing. It’s a good thing for us obviously, but he’s barely practiced and hasn’t been in a game so I’m not expecting a ton from him. I still think bama wins by double digits.

If we win, I think it’s a close one. I don’t see us going in and winning by double digits without a true ball handler.

Pearls teams are always scrappy and put a lot of pressure on the primary ball handlers. It seems like they always have very active hands, especially in traffic.

I think we should be favored, but I won’t be surprised to see Auburn put together their best game defensively.

Auburn’s Justin Powell (concussion) won’t play today against Alabama, Bruce Pearl told @Stadium. Freshman guard is averaging 11.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

Of course Cooper plays. I feel like that’s an Alabama basketball staple. Winning or losing (mostly losing) to a team who’s way better when we play them than their resume suggests.
