The problem is our first 7 SEC games are Brutal. Good chance we are buried before we figure it out

Did we ever get an explanation for Petty and Rojas? Weed? They get into a fight? Or just attitude and effort?

Are some of those teams actually that good?

Obvious counterpoint: neither are we.

It's possible that Nate will go looking on his own well before 5. If you see you can't get really good players to come to Bama then why ruing your career by going down with ordinary players.

I don't think a guy like Oats inherently deserves 5 years, but 4 is fair. The start to this season has clearly not been good enough, but there's still time to improve. He needs to win more if he's going to be off looking for a new job.

A side note: Keon Ellis played pretty good defense, hit a 3, and actually made a few plays off the dribble (although he had one bad turnover). Still a bit too timid on offense though. We have some guys with such ridiculously irrational confidence, and then we have Keon Ellis.

Reminiscent of early career Levi Randolph.

we have the same issue regardless of who our coach has been. HOrrible at FT shooting. Too many turnovers. and shooting % from the 3 point arch is not where it needs to be.

Also during the season the coach has to say something to the media that he has to figure out what buttons to push since the team is not motivated and seems lethargic.

They were pretty hot in the first half. I suspect we end up winning by double figures.

Also Juwan Gary might be the most prototypical Alabama basketball player on the entire roster.

Damn, Missouri just saved their unbeaten #14 ranked season by beating Bradley on a 3 point play with 1 second left. Not just a 3 point play with 1 second left, a three point play with 1 second left from a 37% free throw shooter. After they got away with a back court violation.

Roger...”Do you think the lakers have a good chance to repeat this year?”

Trevor:..”Yea most definitely I think the Lakers have a good chance this year”

It pisses me off that they can have success and not us.

I mean it's a shite game on SEC network plus, whatever that is.

I'm sure everybody will be back for the SEC season. At least until it all goes wrong

I have no shame in admitting to being one of those people. I'm still keeping track of the score, but I can't do Groundhog Day again.

Probably makes me weak or a bad fan or something but I just can't do it for the 35th straight year.

I'm not giving up on Oats yet, but damn this team looks dreadful. There's talent and he has a good system. His development needs work.

You could make a decent basketball hipster argument that Bruner is our best player. If Oats keeps playing him 21 minutes a game, we're fricked.

Also like maybe Gary should get the Reese/Rojas minutes.
