For those who may be ‘scouting ahead’
Scouting the other side of Michigan’s remaining path in the East Region
Alabama and UCLA are...different teams.

Alabama should not be taken lightly, but there is one thing that needs to be called out. One reason the defense ranks so highly is three-point shooting (28.9 percent). This is also an area where LSU succeeded (30.0 percent), but it clearly did not affect Michigan, which went 10-for-25. Do not get me wrong: Alabama is miles ahead of the Tigers defensively. However, I do suspect that poor SEC shooting inflated this stat for both teams, and given that the Wolverines are near the top of the country at 38.5 percent, I am not convinced this will work out for the Crimson Tide as expected.

I don't want to hear about UCLA's academic prowess when they can't get a sports board thats format is stuck in the 90s.

From an ESPN Insider Article where ex-coaches picked Michigan to win our bracket, but with some pause
quote:
Two said the Crimson Tide were the toughest matchup left for the Wolverines. "They can pull [Austin] Davis and [Hunter] Dickinson away from the basket and potentially take them off the floor," one opposing coach said of the Wolverines. "[Mike] Smith really struggled with the length and athleticism of the LSU defense, and I think Alabama can present the same kind of issues for him. Alabama has a more high-powered offense than Florida State. Michigan can put Florida State into a grinder. I don't think Michigan can go basket for basket with Bama without [Isaiah] Livers and potentially limited impact from Dickinson. Bama would have to make 3s, obviously, but if they do, that's a problem for Michigan."

I want them to CONTINUE sleeping on US! Michigan got exposed bad by LSU. We just got to keep our FOCUS on the task at hand which is BEATING UCLA.

B1G 3P% = 34%
B1G 3PD% = 33%
SEC 3P% = 33%
SEC 3PD% = 33%

A B1G media outlet cherry picking convenient stats and ignoring inconvenient stats in order to downplay an SEC team?!? Where have I seen that before? Oh that's right, every single football season for the last 15 years.

That UCLA board looks like the owner still receives AOL CDs in the mail.
Hell, they probably still uses Napster.

We are light years better than LSU defensively.

LSU problem is that they don't have anybody ELSE outside of their main trio which is WATFORD, THOMAS, AND SMART.

Yeah, i'm not saying that we're going to blow their doors off or anything, but it took me 5 minutes to pull up stats that show both conferences are basically the same in respect to 3P% and 3PD% when the other person was saying the SEC sucks in that department.

I think this is what it must be like to be a fan of another football program and see Alabama up there all year at the top of the rankings.
Everyone has come to terms with Gonzaga winning it unless the perfect conditions emerge.
I’m just glad we have a puncher’s chance, if we’re fortunate enough to make it that far.

This is the perfect year for them, IMO. If they don't win this year then they never will.
Iowa, Kansas, and Virginia shite the bed in their region.

Days could have been a big contributor for LSU this season, but they were more interested in letting Smart, Watford, or Thomas run ISO most of the season.
LSU was a pretty horrid defensive team in the regular season, but they picked it up in the SEC and NCAA tourneys.
