People just decided to ignore how bad Iowa and Ohio State were on defense all year, for some reason. Narrative I guess?

The worst Off/Def Eff Units in the #1 and #2 Seeds per KP

1. Ohio State Defense (#75)
2. Iowa Defense (#60)

3. Alabama Offense (#38)
4. Baylor Defense (#34)

These 2 units were by FAR the worst units of the top 8 teams and the media was just like kind of like "eh, they aren't great at defense whatevz".

I'm not one to (metaphorically) stroke myself off. But I called them both...

I may be completely full of shite. But I've days it a few times, and I'm sticking by my prediction. I can see Iowa getting upset in the tournament by a mid major, or decent underdog. They're great offensively. But that defense is terrible.

One thing going for them, is their star being a center, who is taking closer, higher percentage shots. But I just don't trust a team with such a huge discrepancy between offense and defense. Which kinda sucks, because my best friend is a huge Iowa fan.

Having looked at KenPom, it looks like they've improved 60-80 spots from when I last checked. They were at like 120-140. So again, there's a good chance I'm full of shite.

It looks like Ohio State's D has dropped off. They're down to 80.

Of course, like a dumbass, I didn't follow my own thoughts when filling out my bracket.

We would’ve beat Oklahoma if Austin Reeves played. I’m 100% convinced now. He is like a White Cam Thomas but isn’t nearly as good

Oklahoma has played a really solid ball game and they haven't gotten within 9

Gonzaga is a damned machine

Cant stop Timme

If we did get to a final 4 and played them we would have to repeat what we did in Baton Rouge to win

They just don't have droughts on offense or defense. They force you to play perfect for 40 minutes which in turn forces you to press and try to be perfect.

If they go 32-0 I think they got a legit argument for GOAT

Would need to hold the Zags in the 70pts range to have a shot. But hey... every team can have a bad game.

Kinda feel the same way but could be bias.

The efficiency numbers don't show this, but it looks to me like Baylor might have a higher ceiling defensively. Like when they really lock in they are a bit more disruptive.

Again that's not necessarily reflected in the numbers, although it arguably was for a long stretch of the season.

But Gonzaga's the better offensive team.

This Gonzaga game is bullcrap.

They get every call while the same refs swallow the whistle for Oklahoma.

Gonzaga has been sloppy defending and getting to 50/50 balls but no calls.

Timme gets touched and he's on the line again.

Man I want a shot at Gonzaga because no one would give us a CHANCE. Just seems like a situation where John Petty could absolutely erupt.

I want a shot at Gonzaga because the only way we'd get that shot is by making the Final Four. I wouldn't give a damn if they beat us by 30 at that point.

Exactly. Playing with loads of house money at that point
