I’m 100% for Kids making money as long as the university isn’t involved. If a Kid wants to make merchandise and do autograph signings for Money....have at it

It’s breathtaking.

Russell’s shooting numbers this year, holy hell.

33% from the field and 23% from 3. On a fair amount of shots.

Those numbers are so bad that it’s almost hard to believe, but apparently he had some injuries.

He did have a pretty good game against us last year. And a better season overall.

Statistically he is probably the best guard in college basketball, had him on my Fantasy college basketball team last year, I think he ended up as the top fantasy guard last season.

How long has that kid been in School? I could have swore he was on their team the year Collin played

Are we playing our best basketball in March

We're definitely playing close to it. Defense has been on point. Some guys have had big games (Watford and Smart in particular). But they're talented players. And talented players often step up in huge games.

Ball rotation has been great on offense. We're even been taking quality shots. They just aren't falling like we're capable. Petty really needs to step up, and start shooting at least 33%, even better his season averages of 37.2%. He's been off against the last few tournament teams we've played.

This is how we've shot 3s in March...

Auburn- 28.6%
Georgia- 45.5%
Miss St- 36.1%
Tennessee- 25%
LSU- 33.3%

We shoot 3s at 35.1% and 2s at on 50.1% on the season.

47.1% of our FG attempts are 3s. Against LSU, 47.4% of our attempts were 3s (36 3s out of 76 attempts). So our 2s were 21 of 40 for 52.5%. That was a pretty solid overall game. Especially considering the hacking going on in the paint, and yet, only shot 5 FTs (not complaining. It was consistent on both ends, which is what's most important. But they let that game get physical). So those 2s could've/should've been an even higher percentage.

But 3s are still below average. Against LSU, If we shoot 40% instead of 33%, that's 2 more 3s, which turns the end of that game into another forgettable championship game, instead of a classic. I enjoyed the hell out of it, but my blood pressure and herb stash didn't like it at all.

If we hit 40%, we can beat pretty much anybody. If we get hot and hit 50% in a game, then we could blow out any team. Overall, I'm very happy where we are at right now.

The crazy thing about the slump Petty seems to be in is that I swear his wide open attempts are where the shots don’t seem close. It’s the closely guarded ones that he’s still draining. Maybe he just needs to take bad shots

He has hit a few threes recently that were insane.

Lol. I changed from Georgia Tech to Loyola-Chicago during lunch. I saw their Torvik and KenPom rankings. I think I went GT since my dad went there, and grew up going to Yellow Jacket games (having Kenny Anderson and Dennis Scott made them a fun team to watch).

You're right. This just reinforces what I said to my uncle the other night. I think Petty would benefit from a sports psychologist. I know it's helped a ton of athletes. And his shot looks so damn good. But his percentages keep going down.
