You left out the fact that they'd be uncontested.
First, if an uncontested 12-15 foot jumper is "low percentage", you don't need to be playing D-1 basketball. Secondly, you only take them IF they're uncontested...if contested, you take it to the hole!
Teams are letting our guards come to the bucket, then smothering them...that doesn't work!

This is true. Stanford bracketed ball handlers on the perimeter, and then collapsed on the basket on drives. They also seemed to know a number of our passing outlets and were prepared for them.

Not happening. Oats hates mid range shots because they are lower percentage 2s. 3s and At the rim 2s are what we do

If you only attack the 3-point line and driving lanes, you're easy to defense. Our guys have got to make the other team defense ALL the floor!
A couple of successful pull-up jumpers will stop all that sagging back inside, and we'll see scoring at the rim.
