kind of random, but a Fran Fraschilla tweet that Cecil retweeted:

Fran Fraschilla ?@franfraschilla 46m
Former Longwood coach Mike Gillian found a gem in 6-9 Euro, Michael Kessens, now sitting out at Alabama. He will be heard from in SEC.

Really wish he had some sick relative in Alabama that would allow him to play immediately.

Alabama has gone to see Coleman, Josh Langford, and Ethan Stair today among others I'm sure.

Lee has narrowed it down to 5 schools and set official visits to each school. Claims all 5 are even at the moment

LINK

quote:

Lee will visit Mississippi State next weekend, followed by Georgia, UAB, Alabama and Wichita State in that order in subsequent weekends.

quote:

The power forward said it’s possible he could commit during one of his visits, but he said he is not leaning in any direction..

just more random around campus observations: Taylor does not look as skinny as I thought he would. It looks like the 6'10 240 listing isn't really exaggerated. I've gotta think he could at least help us out with defense and rebounding.

I wonder if we had anything to do with that decision. Heard he really likes Alabama, but we don't really have a need at PG with Coleman committed.

He's been working out a lot since his senior season was finished. If Carl doesn't impress early, I see Taylor taking the starting spot.

We've gone and seen Will Jackson and Haanif Cheatham as well. I hope we've gone and seen Purifoy this week because every other SEC school has.

TJ Lang is deciding tomorrow. As far as I know we haven't offered.

He apparently visited VT this weekend. That's likely where he's headed.

Basically just have to avoid a train wreck. Duke is also a great top team to catch early in the season when they're new starters are still adjusting.

Lee left MSU without committing so that's one visit down for him.

ESPN re-ranked the 2016 class and had a 10 things to look for article for the 2016 class and Josh Langford had his own bullet at #10.

quote:

10. Super scorer

Scoring machine Langford is riding great momentum that dates to the high school season, when he proved he was without a doubt the best 2016 player in Alabama. Also, Langford was a late NBPA Top 100 Camp invitee who did more than hold his own against the best players in the Class of 2014. Langford is one who could continue climbing up the rankings as time goes on.

He is ranked 12th in the "stacked" 2016 class according to ESPN. He also seems to be currently regarded as the top scorer of the class, at least according to Reggie Rankin.

Do we have even a sliver of a breath of a hope with him or is he UK, Duke, or UNC bound?

He's going to UK's midnight madness. Whether we get him or not probably depends on if we are good by then.

This. If we aren't much improved by the time he decides, I don't think we will have much of a chance. Even if we are improved it will be a tough task to keep him in-state. He's said that Duke was his favorite childhood team and you can never take UK out of the equation with their track record of getting kids to the NBA in 1 year. I imagine it will be between them 2 and maybe us for his signature.
