Really dont understand why we would offer this guy. We dont run enough so he wont be that effective. Gives some nice passes in transition though.

He was an Illinois commit under Webber so he should be decent.

Those big men that can't catch won't be running the floor.

Saw a couple of those highlights where he just broke down the D and passed it to the big man.

@JeffSentell_: Per his father, Pleasant Grove's Ricky Tarrant will not be at Tulane next year. Tarrant Sr. also said Tulane AD denied his release.

Kind of figured they were just waiting until after spring break. Looks like the Tarrant rumors were true though.

I wonder if they will try to block him from transferring to Alabama.

I think they denied his release to any school. All it means is he'll have to sit out a year. I think that is all it means when a school blocks a transfer from going to another school. They just have to sit out a year if they transfer to any "blocked schools." Not sure though.

I hope we can land Tarrant and Davis. How sweet would that be?

CBSSports just posted that they should be released within 24 hours: LINK

Yeah, he'll only have one year of eligibility - not that I really give a shite in this case.

package deal (and by deal I mean let's pay them)

Um, seriously, pay them.

Yeah, he'll fall into that graduate school transfer BS where a kid is immediately eligible.

I remain unexcited about Tarrant TBH, but I'd sacrifice my left nut if Davis came with him.

I was thinking about something. Doesn't the SEC have a rule that prevents the member schools from taking the grad school transfers? They put it in place after Masoli.

Not sure? UK took Julian Mays this year.

I saw that this year, Tarrant took 219 3's. That's 53 more than Lacey, who attempted the most on our team(166)

I maybe just don't remember the name, but are we still going after a Harold Givens? Both ESPN and Rivals has us on his list, but I don't remember the name. He's apparently a 6'7" lanky, athletic freak SF.

No idea on him.

@AdamZagoria: Jaren Sina will visit Alabama next week, his dad tells @SNYtv. Seton Hall and Northwestern also in mix.
