That was it. The only meaningful part from it that wasn't standard filler information.

So he didn't say anything about the actual visit and how everything was?

quote:

“It was good. I got to view the campus and they were telling me about the school,” said Barber of the visit, which was his first to Alabama. “The campus was good- really everything I saw was good. I got to see how everything would be if I do end up going there.”

“Coach Grant was telling me about the school and their education. We talk a lot and have some deep conversations. He’s a good coach.”

That's all of the quotes from the article. Saw the campus, talked about academic, etc. Just the same old stuff.

Dont know why you would be upset with his height at all. Was looking at tha NBA combine and most guys arent even that tall with shoes on.

That is about the height I expected, but the wingspan surprised me. Knew he had a huge wingspan, but that's monstrous for his size. To a certain extent I'm with 4ever on height vs wingspan. Per inch wingspan trumps height. Both change/blocks shots, Height causes fear in the lane, and wingspan surprises people. I'd take a 6'9" guy with a 7'5" wingspan over a 7 footer with with a 7'2" wingspan. I'd take either though....

He is the same height as Anthony Davis with a bigger wingspan. I will take that with no complaints. If he is half that good at blocking shots I will be thrilled.

I think he'll be a force defensively since he's so long as well as extremely athletic. I think he's coordinated too it'll be his offense that's a work in progress. If he could give us 6-8 points a game his freshman year, that'd be great.

That kid is a monster. I have seen him play like this in a few high school and AAU games, but here hes producing the same domination against the closest thing to college level talent. He just takes what he is given, which is why I don't completely agree with the Rondo comparison who often forces the pass instead of taking the easy bucket. I think he is the second best, at least 3rd best, PG in this class. Top 10 prospect easily in my mind. If we get him, I wouldn't mind us taking Harris as well if he'd have us though. I could be wrong, but I don't think Barber would be with us for too long.

I don't think we would take two PGs in this class. I think we are going after some good 2014 guards so even if Barber was a 1 and done, we'd be okay.

Probably the biggest impact but R. Hendrix was pretty big nationally. Remember Roy Williams coming down here to watch him. Also on needing a big man to redshirt. Im not a fan of redshirting players because they usually wont sit and wait a year.
