Could be 40-30 tommorow folks, Vols have an awful time with the zone.

I could buy the experience angle if all of our freshmen hadn't played in literally every fricking game last year, starting in a lot of them. Just a bullshite excuse from a coach who knows he is gone sooner rather than later.

Not trying to defend Grant, but I'm not sure what you can expect him to say there. No one in their right mind would answer "my recruiting/coaching" to that question when they are on the hot seat.

Alabama 68
Tennessee 65
Releford made 2 free throws with 7.5 seconds left to make it a 3 point game and Tennessee missed a 3 pointer at the buzzer.Roll Tide!

I just looked at our schedule and realized we could theoretically be 3-1 in SEC play when Kentucky shows up. @ State and home to A&M (granted I don't know much about them).

There's no real point to this post, I'm not remotely getting my hopes up about the season or anything. Just an observation. We would be a shitty 3-1 team.

We have an extremely shitty SEC schedule this year. I think we are NIT bound, but there still is a very slim shot at the tournament. We have only one game vs UK, Mizzou (which we already lost), and Florida. Our two next hardest games are UT and Ole Miss both at their place. We just couldn't have any trip-ups, which is hard to see us avoiding after the Mercer and Tulane losses.

Two years ago we were saying basically the same thing.

We actually looked decent offensively in the 2nd half. UT kept us in it with a lot of unforced turnovers in the 1st half. Two bad teams playing each other.

Oh and I walked right past Jesse Williams and Milliner as they left the MM Athletic Facility. Jesse was carrying his helmet. Wonder if it's for the senior bowl or a keepsake.

We are a decent defensive post player and faster tempo away from being a good offensive team. We just don't get enough shots right now. We have been a decent outside shooting team and we have several guys who can get to the basket. Randolph has a nice mid range game.

Hopefully Taylor can be that decent defensive post player next year, but the faster tempo is never going to happen under Grant.

The first half offensive problem was that we couldnt hit shite, not even layups. The tempo has gotten faster these past two games. Grant's probably just trying to tease the fanbase though.

With Grant's offensive system, or lack thereof, we need a Phil Pressey type player for the offense to get better. I'm hoping Justin Coleman, who was actually at the game, can be that guy.
