17-14 won't get us in. It just won't. Especially if we fade down the stretch. We will be playing with fire and holding our breaths if we go 18-13 and lose 3 of the last 4. We need to just win some more games and take the doubt out of it.

I think 18-13 gets us in more comfortably than alot would believe. Vanderbilt got in at 17-14 last yr or something like that. Only Virginia has more top 10 RPI wins than we do right now, and we have as many quadrant 1 and 2 wins as alot of ranked teams. Just need to finish strong but our profile is better than it's been either of the last 2 years.

I think we're in pretty good shape after Saturday's win. We're talented enough to win every game left on the schedule, though obviously we are not going to do that.

I don't think it's too much to expect us to win out at home, and steal one @MSU. Stealing another @A&M is also possible and would be gravy. Certainly a tall order, but this team is capable of it.

But my expectations are little more tempered. I expect something like scenario #5, and I think that easily gets us in the tourney around a 9 seed.

I worry about the A&M and LSU games. They seem like games Alabama should win, but something unexpected happening.

Agree on LSU, but I wouldn't put the A&M game in the should win category. The A&M team we beat earlier this year is NOT the same team we'll see down there next month.

Maybe I am missing something but how is our SOS changing in this scenario?

If the scenarios with us winning more games (1, 2, 5) had the worse SOS and the scenarios with us losing more (3, 4, 6) had the better SOS, I could make some logic of that. We beat the teams and thus they look worse because they have another loss. Also, it would make sense that the ones more losses would be higher SOS because those teams had another W. But it looks like the opposite of those is true.

I'm sure it's just me not understanding the formula but logically it seems backwards.

You're right about Texas a&m...They're not the same team from before, they're worse...Don't know what's going on there. LSU just dismissed 2 players and suspended 2 more so not worried about them, seems to be discipline problem and Wade is setting standard for the future. But they're outgunned and undermanned

I think there is a big benefit with getting A&M in College Station the last game of the year. I think at that point they could very well have quit on the season- especially if they're out of the tournament. That is becoming very much a winnable game. To me, an ideal situation is to finish out 4-1 at home and take @MSU and @A&M. That would put us at 20-11 going in to the SEC tournament and a lock for the NCAA Tournament.

I remember when we'd always play at Ole Miss the last or 2nd to last game of the regular season in the Gottfried era and we'd ALWAYS lose by 20-30 pts. Always. It was a right of passage.

I've seen Bama up by 15 points in Oxford with 10 minutes to go in the 2nd half and then lose the game by 15 points.
