Final Alabama 1 UAB 2. Alabama has now lost 5 games 2-1. Good news is this does not hurt our conference record. We have played well in midweek games this year ,and at some point we had to lose one. Hopefully we will be ready to go this weekend and beat Auburn

If there's a regional in Tuscaloosa, UAB is going to participate in it. Really is inexcusable to be owned by UAB over the last ten games in the series.

Just can not lose these mid-week games. Just can't. And it is pitiful to be owned by UAB like this.

I believe this a special team, but I also think we will end up a 2 seed. Our pitching depth could help us win a regional as a 2 seed.

Kendall Rogers of Perfect Game released his mid-season national seeds this morning. He has us as the #7 overall seed. I guess if he's making those predictions based on where teams stand right now it makes sense given we're leading the SEC, have a top 15 RPI, and are 6-3 against the RPI top 10. Obviously with our schedule ahead we have our work cut out for us to stay in national seed contention, but if we simply hold our own against the back end of the schedule we should at least get a regional. Our RPI and SOS would be insane and our top 3-4 finish in the league would compliment that.
You're right though that our pitching depth gives us an advantage in any regional situation, it's be nice and a lot of fun if it was in Tuscaloosa though

Baseball America also projects us to host a regional, as what roughly looks like the equivalent of a national #11 seed if they went beyond 8.
In more important news, Will Haynie will be back in the lineup tomorrow after missing the last five games with a concussion.

I know we're at home this weekend, but I'm not feeling good about us taking this series.
