The devil on my shoulder says “ What the hell was that?”

The angel on my shoulder say “ When is the last time Bama had 30 wins with 17 games left to go?”

Midweeks can be rough. Just ask Ole Miss. Still, better step it up or risk slaughter at LSU.

Roll Tide!

I would never get upset about midweek wins. Many years that is what kept us out of the Regionals.

Having lost the last 2 weekend series to middling teams does not bring me confidence for this weekend

Meh, Auburn seems to be hitting stride right now and are ranked in the top 10. Mississippi State just has our number for whatever reason and I wasn't shocked that we lost that series.

I don't have confidence in this series because we have seemed to have lost all our offensive power from earlier in the season when we were playing scrubs.

This is not the Alabama of 2 years ago that had zero chance of competing and got into a regional due to playing in a tough conference. This team can win.

We have had a string of poor performances against some teams whose records on paper weren’t great but who absolutely have talent. Auburn is not some scrub team. Last weekend proves that.

Tough streaks come to every team. Adams’ pitching has been poor for a couple of outings. Last Sunday’s hitting was not what we want. Nonetheless, one looks for odds to even out.

Confidence and mindset also has a lot to do with things. LSU could come into this weekend’s series shaken by what happened last weekend and drop this series to us. Don’t be shocked.

Are we going to win the conference or the tournament? Highly unlikely. Can we win a regional? Yes. Posssibly a super regional if we are playing well.

We are heading in the right direction. Our coaching staff is good. And we have the best player in the country at short and batting second.
