I don’t think “should have” is the phrase.
Could have - almost did. But asking the OF to go over a 7 or 8 foot fence and bring one back is a big ask.

One positive is we’ve put some good swings on their guy first time through. I think we will scratch across some more runs.

I’m still going with should have. His jump was well right of where the ball came down, plus he jumped hard into the fence. Use your throwing hand to find the wall and position yourself for the jump. That wasn’t a line drive homer so he had some time to get in a better spot.
It’s always an ask to rob one, but that was definitely one that you’d prefer to see someone of his caliber bring back.

Welp….offseason starts tomorrow. Got to improve pitching. This is the most critical offseason in Bama baseball history imo.

He had to run a long way to the fence and as a lefty using his throwing hand to find the fence really wasn’t an option moving toward RCF.
