Read on BOL(TIFWIW) that Norton was dealing with a back issue and that’s why JYJ got the start Sunday. We missed Brennan’s bat, but I have no problem with JYJ getting some experience. To Wifey’s earlier point, I wouldn’t mind seeing Plattner or Steele getting a shot at DH if #15 isn’t having the best day. We’re already down to 2 catchers so Coach might not want to risk it with Plattner.
Staton had a follow up visit with the doctor today (per Coach’s earlier press conference comments) so maybe he’s close(r) to returning to live action?
Enough from the peanut gallery - back to my job as a cheerleader. Bama’s at Region’s tomorrow night vs UAB (and former Crimson Tide Player Camden Hayslip). Come on out and support the Tide and help start a new winning streak!

That firepower we’ve seen to start the season seems to be a ruse. The run output has been pretty poor against every decent team we’ve played. Troy, NC State, and now UAB.

We’ve had at least a couple balls hit well to the warning track that would probably be out of most parks. UAB has made two very nice web gems on them that I’ve seen.

Ozmer closes it out… won 6-3. Solo shot by Torres followed by a two run shot from Snell in the 9th to win it
