I’m old too..

I was around for TR Dunn, Enis Whatley … and everyone since.

Watching Philon play was a privilege.. He’s as good or better than anyone that’s ever played at Alabama.

We just struck out on bigs. Hey I'm guilty Williamson's highlights...he looked great.I wanted him. We had the late signee Collins Onyejiaka massive but young and hardly plays because of a med issue. Bristow doesn't pan out.

Oats has his work cut out for next year.

Inbound sets say this is a retarded faux opinion by you. And there is absolutely no rebuttal you can come up with to dispute it. There’s literally no movement majority of the time and just relies on the talent to get the ball in, no coaching assistance. I’ve seen it over and over the past couple of years and a lot of people mention it on this board.

We have had a Top 5 offense in 3 consecutive season

If you told any coach in college or the NBA that Nate Oats “doesn’t have a scheme to get baskets” they’d call you a fricking moron

Yep, we wasted a lot of money on "value" picks In the transfer portal going for quantity over quality and we paid for it. I also like Houston Mallette, but we cant keep getting 1 dimensional 2 and 3s.

I think Yaxel wanted to play 3 but we probably needed him to be a 4. Even if money was no factor, I am not sure we were offering what he thought helped his NBA stock.

I think to go from here, let Brian Adams go and put a real emphasis on nailing a college defensive coach. It wasn't just a personnel issue with us having poor defense and rebounding. Lot of it is a coaching issue IMO.

Then let Oats kill it on the portal, finding bigs and a solid PG for next season. No Philon or Holloway leaves a big hole for someone to run point.

The best stretch in Alabama Basketball history and some of these folks do nothing but complain!

Nate Oats is the best Basketball Coach in the history of the program… period

Nate doesn’t run plays he runs concepts. And we practice those concepts over and over and over again until our players know how to read the defense to make the right play using those concepts like the back of their hand.

It allows our guys to play with freedom and to play fast.

Guys are going to transfer out as well. As if Nate is the problem. When they just suck.

Will be a whole new team essentially, he will go into the portal and find players and we will be competitive

My hot take is Aden Holloway is our starting point guard next year. He's got no criminal history and can afford good lawyers. He's going to get into some intervention program and probation.

Nate has gotta get an actual College Basketball defensive specialist to coach the defense….not an NBA guy.

He had his work cut out for him this season. And, let's not forget the season after '23 when Miller, Bediako, Nimari, Clooney, Gurley, Bradley, and Quinerly all left. He followed it up with a F4.

I'll never question Oats' ability to get talent. Even missing on the portal this season, he nailed the recruiting class with Jemison, Allen, and Hannah.

Luke Yachlich needs to be his replacement. We need to copy illinois and get some euros as well.

Probably. Oats needs to actually give a frick about rebounding and defense. But still frick Holloway.

I know y’all don’t like to face reality but this team went as far as Philon could take them.
They are just- not that talented. Front court guys are average and that’s being generous.
To get final fours consistantly and a NC IMO, without lucky breaks, you need an elite pg, some good to great guards around them and at least one elite front court man.
Our guys look like the keystone cops. I guffawed when Allen spike the ball off of Sherrell. Sherrell, and other guys missed multiple rebounds fumbling and bumbling the ball.
I think Coach did a great job getting this group as far as they did. Roll Tide!

Some rambling…

The end always sucks for all but one team. A weird season too. Geez. We try to get Chuck back and when that’s not successful, we looked better without him. Aden gets busted with enough weed to make Snoop blush right before the tournament and we’re a popular pick to be upset in the first round. Then, we bust Hofstra then TTU. Tonight, we played a great first half against probably the best team in college. They imposed their will in the 2nd half.

I’m happy with the fight these guys showed in the tournament. Tons of adversity this year. I’ll miss this team. They had their moments. Even the frustrating guys had their moments.

I’m excited about next year too. My son is moving back to town after graduation in May. I’ll have at least one person around that understands my crazy.

We’ll have a shot next year because of who our coach is. That’s exciting.

Let's hope they stick around. Sherrel as well. We know teams will throw money at them.

Apparent a random amalgamation of grab arse and hero ball that somehow consistently ranks in the Top 10 in ppg
