KDB spoke of how Keelon is able to make the plays down the field and that is what loosens the defense up.
It's such a key for this offense. You have to have a QB who will consistently try to make the deep throws and need the WRs who will come up with some big catches.

Which is why I cant figure out why not open the game like this and then lean on the run.

Well we ran the ball very well to start because Grubb must have assumed they would think like you and they had safeties high. Then once they tried to move closer to the box we unbalanced them with play-action.
From that point we had then chasing ghosts and guessing
