@Sally:

You said

Hoping we simplify the D a bit in the upcoming games to try and help these guys out where they aren't thinking as much and can attack with their natural physical tools.

Because you referenced multiple 'guys', it seemed that you wanted to change the defense more than we should, when in reality the only young guy who gets PT is Moses. If you want to make moderate to significant changes for multiple players and thereby sacrifice the overall complicatedness of our scheme, I don't think it's a good idea.

If you want the nomenclature and potentially the assignments simplified specifically for Moses while maintaining our scheme, then that sounds like a reasonable solution if necessary.

Take care.

It took Rubin three years just to figure out how to stop knocking himself out. At least Mosley is staying conscious out there.

As for simplifying things, haven’t we gone to those idiot flash cards in recent years? And in fairness, we had to revamp a lot of our sceme in recent years in response to all the hurry up offenses. Remember the flack Kirby got over our defense looking like the keystone cops trying to line up ... incessant looking to the sideline as Kirby hopped up and down waiving his hands like a drunken monkey.

Am I remembering it wrong?

I don't even understand why this is an issue. Some guys are ready right away and some guys aren't. It's really not that difficult of a concept to grasp.

Being a great athlete has nothing to do with how well you can grasp a defensive system, read an offense, and play responsibilities.

Not an issue. Just discussion.

Did the staff fail to develop him? Attitude problems? Overrated?

I guess I just wanted to make sure you considered the possibility that nobody is to blame for him not being as ready as Hightower or Mosley. The fact is that most aren't.

Another example of dry trolling.

Call me a pessimist. Call me an a-hole but I am not a fricking troll. Trolls are ruining the rant and I have no patience for them.

With that said, I noticed Moses got the start today.

Wish Evans had another year. He and Moses are legit 4.4 guys. Ridiculous. Moses is having a great game.

No, they are not.

They are fast, but Hurts is probably a 4.5 flat, and he'd smoke all of our LBs. We don't have a LB at Alabama who runs a 4.4 and we never have. Don't be ridiculous.

I'd be surprised - very, very surprised - if we had any linebacker on our team who could run a sub 4.6 electronic time.

Relax with throwing around that 4.4 stuff.

I am not the source of those times. Maybe our guys fudge the numbers like Auburn does. They are both really fast regardless.

Moses stepped up and balled out today.

Making the calls, lining guys up, directing traffic when the offense shifted & motioned.

Leading tackler: 11, 10 solo, 4 TFL, plus a pick.

Light [ON]

Let's roll!

Moses may be the fastest at his current weight. He might and I say might be a 4.5 guy.

I was pretty closes but Moses has gained weight since.

I figured Moses was one of the fastest players on defense regardless of position. You can see it on the field when he is in pursuit. He is gonna be a monster.

Wow.

He got thrown in a tough situation when Shaun Dion-Hamilton went down against Miss St.

Dylan Moses showed what he's capable of in the Mercer game.

He'll be a beast after Cochran has him for an off-season.
