Equating Williams to Jameson Williams *at this point* is absurd.
Jameson Williams was an incredible deep threat but has given multiple interviews talking about how he only knew how to run a very limited set of routes until he got to the NFL.
Ryan Williams is a far more complete WR going into his sophomore season and is a true WR1 whereas Jamo is just now in his 3rd NFL season getting to that level.6
Beyond that Jamo had BY, an NFL 1.1 guy throwing to him whereas Williams had Milroe to work with who imploded the 2H of the season to the point of being completely nonfunctional as a passer.
People are underestimating RW because of his situation instead of looking at how he would’ve performed with ultra elite QB play like Jamo had.

Could that have been our RB #22 and Ole Miss?

This is wild. We essentially were openly tampering.
His representation (agency) was shopping him. Bama offered.
This is the game now. It sucks, but it is the game.

I heard that the LSU Tigers came fishing in Lake Tuscaloosa over the last few days. They hooked a big fish but failed to land it in the boat. Brian Kelly, with a swing-and-miss in T-Town. This player chose to stay in Tuscaloosa and continue wearing that Crimson Jersey. The offer was massive, but it takes more than money to peel off that Crimson A off his chest. Tuscaloosa > Baton Rouge Kalen DeBoer beats LSU twice in the last 50 days.

This is the second time I've seen this stated, but no one has named names. Can't imagine it would upset the player in question to have it aired out either. The amount of goodwill he'd get from the fanbase would give a massive boost to his NIL earnings.

Nah, our 22 was going no matter what. The only way he is turning down money is to get a higher offer from another school. He gone.

JMO but we don't have both ONE person that would demand that type of money and that is Ryan Williams

NO one in our portal is worth that kind of money. People not in the portal are worth that kind of money but it would be tampering by LSU if they reached out to these people. And if it truly happened Coach should turn them in to Sankey

They reportedly weren't in the portal.

Formby's name has been floated as the guy, I am not the source

The player and his agents are doing the tampering.

Don't think so in this instance.

Nobody is making a massive offer for Formby.

I dont think so either, but LSU is desperate for tackles and there is very little in the portal right now

I'll say Isaiah Horton has the look of the type of receivers DeBoer was using in Seattle. He's taller than most of our WRs DeBoer inherited as prospects or already on the roster. I would not compare him to Odunze in terms of build but instead more like Polk. Still, he can "post up" smaller corners on underneath catches and his height is an advantage on 1-on-1 deep balls.
Our staff needs to close the deal on him because I think everything would snap to grid with the passing game with a more natural passer and the trio of Williams-Horton-Bernard.
