If this is the case that means we didn't have a right to get mad when Mbakwe was contacted and offered. We don't even have a right if Ryan Williams had left for an offer.
Why would you forfeit the right to be mad? That makes no sense.
You can be mad even if what happened isn't against a rule.

It’s still tampering lol.
Looking around at the landscape of college football, it's obvious no one gives a shite. The NCAA is powerless, so are there literally no consequences aside from the shitty optics. But clearly programs aren't afraid of that.

Who was that recruit last year that wanted like $12 million and later sued the school?

Who else do we need?

Since that was from 3 days ago and nothing else has been said I doubt it.

From a high level fellow on another site:
Here is a true story of an Alabama football player who was NOT even a starter on this year's team -- it's not Mbakwe, but this story has some similarities to Mbakwe, and when taken into account with Mbakwe, it points out the depth of the battle Alabama is in to keep the players it wants/needs on it's roster.
This player received an offer very recently from another SEC school (not Auburn, before anyone asks) for roughly 800K. After speaking with DeBoer and giving further consideration to the offer, the player told the other school no thanks.
Next day the school came back with another offer -- they doubled it to 1.6M. Passing on the first offer was hard. But passing on 1.6M? Believe it or not, the kid passed again.
But the story doesn't end there.
Now the school has come back with an offer on the doorstep of 2M smackers!

I don't buy some of these numbers. Offering backups 2 million just doesn't make sense.

If it's legit who is the player and who is the school?

If true(highly doubt it), it would have to be Simpson.

John Metchie and Jameson Williams in 2021 say hello and a big no to your statement.

If it’s true, would have to be Simpson or Mack
