Walking Maldonado was inexcusable. He is terrible at the plate and basically said he was giving up on trying to get a hit by crowding the plate like he was. All you had to do was throw strikes and he's an easy out.

A chance to win the whole deal at home tonight in front of this home crowd. All they needed was pitching that was serviceable. Instead we get a complete bed shitting.

No defense for a walk, and I lost count a long time ago how many walks have been issued. I can't comprehend mlb pitchers walking so many batters. Free passes. SMH.

Not just the pitching for me....hitting isn't there...2 home runs....but nothing strung together....they are all trying to hit bombs

Swing at a ball, take a strike, swing at a ball.
He has absolutely zero plate discipline, and this isn't a new thing. It's as if neither Snitker nor anyone on that staff has ever had that conversation with him.

This is the most Atlanta game ever.

What a shitshow. Still gonna be up 3-2 but feels like all the momentum is with the cheating bums.

Houston....hit after hit after hit....
Atlanta....out, out, single, strike out...and the outs are swinging for the fences

Well the next two pitchers the Braves have up against the Astros are Max Freid and

Duvall goes from having one of the three biggest hits in Atlanta history (Justice & Cabrera) to just being a historical footnote.

Hell I'm scared to change the thread title. I was gonna make it something like Braves 1 win Away from World Series Championship, and then I chickened out. I ain't gonna be the one to mess with this roll.
What we're seeing is certainly shite, and it's very real.

Such an amazing start....to shite the next 8 innings, besides Freeman's homer

Minter was eventually going to give up some hits. This dude was in Gwinnett earlier this season. He's been great so far in the playoffs, but the bullpen has been mismanaged. No way you walk Bregman to load the bases. He had 2 hits coming into the night all series. Bryse Wilson won a game in the NLCS last year. You never know how some guys are gonna react to this situation. Wright pitched very well in Game 4. Should've started. You can't just throw the same guys out there night after night after night. They aren't robots. Ynoa or Touki should've started Game 5. Worst case scenario, you lose. Well... they lost anyway. Best case he gives you a quality start. Minter looked gassed tonight. Couldn't find the zone, this happens when you're tired. Baseball is a grind.
My guess is that Fried has thrown 2 clunkers in row. Odds are good that he rights the ship. Matzek and Smith and Yes Jackson will benefit from the extra days of rest. I still like the Braves chances. It is extremely difficult to win 3 elimination games in a row. And getting into Houston's bullpen early would be great. The Braves need to be more aggressive at the plate too. How many 1st strikes did they take tonight? Swing the damn bat.
We'll know in the 1st inning if Fried is on. If not, then we will have a rookie on the bump for all the marbles in Game 7. I like their chances.

Snit has gotta take Ozzie out of the 3 spot. He is killing us, I knowSnit likes him being a Switch Hitter behind Freddie but he fricking sucks right now. It looks like he needs a lighter bat....his looks too heavy for him
My Lineup:
1. Rosario
2. Freddie
3. Soler
4. Riley
5. Joc
6. Ozzie
7. Duvall
8. Travis
9. Dansby

Except for Albies.
His last at bat: swing at a bad pitch, take a strike, swing at another bad pitch. He would get better pitches to hit if he would learn to be more disciplined. The Astros have figured that out, and they're going to keep making him look bad until he changes his approach.

Last night sucked. Damn it.
After 3 straight nights at the ballpark with 3.5 hours each night of every pitch mattering, some drinks and no sleep until 2-3 AM.......my gosh my body is a fvckin dumpster right now. I needed an off day as bad as the players.

Game 6 for the Braves will essentially be more like a Game 7. Lose game 6 and I'm pretty sure it's over for the Braves!

If Charlie didn’t break his leg we would have won the WS last night. Zero Chance he blows a 4-0 lead.
Snit fricked up IMO. As soon as Duvall hit that GS he should have went into “Finish Them” mode. But instead he sent Tucker back out and let the Astros gain confidence and momentum
