It's kinda crazy how far down that list you have go to find Tua.

Najee Harris and Trey Sanders are ahead of Derrick Henry.

You can look at the all-time list and make an argument that the 2020 team is the most talented Saban has fielded at Alabama...from a rankings standpoint.

Look at the top 10, 20, 50 and see how many are currently on the roster.

I just watched Will Anderson’s senior highlights for the first time... Jesus!!! He looks like Tim Williams with even more explosion. I hope they don’t bulk him up too much, he has a chance to be very special.

I agree. He needs to be at 240 tops.

I read that whole thread and the Georgia fans are absolutely delusional. Almost LSU level bad. They are convinced that every recruiting industry is out to get them and also to bump bama players. This is an all time melt

Its funny how they overlook their kids that got bumps. Got bumped up more spots than Bama kids.

Barring something shocking, Collins will choose mediocrity and sign with Texas.

Surge is there any other info about family influence under his mom playing basketball at Texas? She is very big into the Longhorns no doubt but she was ok with him going to A&M at the beginning of last football season if he felt it was the best fit.

From what I’ve read a big part of his decision is that he wanted to play in a 4 down lineman system instead of a 3-4, which is why he was considering TAMU back then. With Texas switching from Orlando to Ash at defensive coordinator he would get that opportunity now at Texas while OU and Bama both run a 3 down lineman system.

Either way it still favors UT and of course he would have grown up a Longhorn fan. Still parents who are were high end athletes are usually more open to their children seeking the best athletic opportunity for themselves.

Alfred Collins earns fifth star in final Top247 rankings (247Sports)

Thoughts on Texas signees and targets in final Top247 (Horns247 | segment)
quote:

— The Longhorns have the chance to sign two five-stars in the 2020 class if they land  Alfred Collins next week. The Bastrop Cedar Creek defensive lineman earned his fifth star and came in at No. 32, which serves as the cutoff for a five-star ranking. Collins checked the physical boxes at the All-American Bowl. The intel around this recruitment is pointing towards Texas and winning him over would be huge for the recruiting rankings.

BOL Nuggets: Sunday night Bama recruiting buzz (BamaOnLine | segment)
quote:

— Make no mistake — Bama is battling hard for All-American DL Alfred Collins. Sources close to the situation say it’s close to 50/50, which usually means the home team has an advantage (Texas). Collins likes Alabama a lot. But it’s going to be hard to pull him so far away from home. UT is 30 minutes away and has the family ties to go along with it.
quote:

I think we can all agree Texas is probably the pick if today is decison day at the very least and Alabama, OU and Texas are the main contenders. Roach is expected in tomorrow (Mon 1/27) to see Collins. -- Hank

Neither Alfred’s nor his mom’s feeds looks crazy pro UT. Honestly they both seem pretty subdued all the way around.... or am I just willfully missing it for that outside chance

That blurb above makes sense, my only point is that it looks like he is sold on the program more so than his mom pushing him that way.

As I said before, no matter which circumstance it is, they both point to him heading to UT.

Thanks for the additional insight.

I hope for his sake that he is sold on the idea of playing for Texas instead of Tom Herman. Because Tom Herman is probably going to be fired when he loses 4+ games again next season.

About what? The fact that Kirby appears to have completely overlooked an elite prospect in his own backyard? They have a stacked class that would have been #1 if not for us and Clemson also having stacked classes. They have nothing to be mad about.
