You sound like someone who thinks all teams that have 6-6 records are the same, without any regard to the strength of their schedule.
You can't really compare a year in which half the defense is injured and you are playing the most freshman started on your defense in all of college football with years filled with guys 3 and 4+ years in the program.
BS. Mack and Dylan last season looked just like the freshman LBers along with Kaho and Benton this season. It's poor teaching if experienced players and inexperienced players look the same in your system.
Lastly, from Duke to Auburn we should have saw more growth out of our linebackers. Improvement during the season was something we took pride in. I guess we don't do that anymore.

I think we did see some growth but when you get to the SEC and the coaches know how to isolate our young linebackers they arent going to win. If anyone needs to get bashed its the older linebackers who habe been here like 36...He has been here for what three years and was completely confused on the field.

All that being said i do think the LBs arent being coached up to their ability. We just need an experienced defensive coordinator. The last two havent helped them out at all.

If the position players aren't growing it's on their position coach.
It would be one thing if it were just one player, but with so many? Definitely poor coaching.

Truth is some has to be coaching but I am afraid more is the ILB issues belong to the players. After 12 games none of those 5 guys showed you they have great football instincts. Hell even you make the wrong read at sometime during the game you would luck into making a big play. My crimson glasses broke after 6 games of watching that crew operate.

Well this thread took a turn
The board is in chaos lately -- people creating multiple Bama FB recruiting threads out there and debating non-recruiting topics in here when there are already active threads on those same topics out there.

You seem okay when the off topic is pictures of women or Kirby Smart.
You seem to "relax" when us terrible posters talk football or preferences regarding football.

There's a BIG difference between a few off-topic posts and an-off topic sequences of posts that keeps going for multiple pages.
They're off topic regardless.
It isn't that serious and this thread has always been a recruiting and discussion thread.
Why don't you embrace the original intention of the thread?
A little off topic doesn't hurt whether it's you asking Cobra to post women pictures or me responding to a point made about our recruited players future development.

I was trying to steer things back to recruiting and roster
I'm still wondering if anyone has heard anything about Delong.
Will Anderson is still my favorite recruit this cycle. Story is number 2 on my list

As far as McKinley Jackson, I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up at Ole Miss. I think Lane will really work on him and he could be Lane's first major recruit at Ole Miss.
