As long as they're to us and not from us bring it on. And honestly why would any offensive player want to go to Jawja?

Jamey was a walk on who eventually got a scholarship.

He was talented enough to be on the preferred walkon radar for schools, especially instate ones. He was just a damn beanpole, he looked 6-4, 160 playing QB. Last name probably didn't hurt either.

There's been a few package deals under Saban, they get skewed because the "other guy" is still a fairly rated player.

Example: Dee Hart got himself an EE spot by Haha Clinton-Dix "looking around".

Robert Lester and Julio Jones. Lester ended up being a very solid player for us also.

I’ve seen a couple of things now that say Tim Smith is going to flip which sucks because the dude is a good football player

Also , if true, it sucks that he is waiting this late in the process to do it . Saban is good at hanging on to committed prospects so I wouldn’t give up yet

They were both rated highly. Kelly just didn’t transfer the hype to college.

Per OU 247 Recruiting guy re: Jase McClellan

quote:

Speaking to a few others this may not end well for OU. One source said, “It has definitely moved in Bama direction lately.”

How far? I don’t know. Jase and Bama seem to be a thing... a very real thing.

I’m monitoring this but getting conflicting info.

Ticky Tocky indeed

Bama3714, if you are around, if we miss on Washington, have you heard anything more about Eric Shaw? Might we make a late move on him?

He had a good week and game in the all-star game, although he played defense.

Washington was more of a hailmary from our 20 yard line..lol I honestly wouldn’t call Washington a miss.. we really never lead for him and got back in the game late. We put our chips in on Gilbert and it stung us. It happens but I fully expect Washington to sign with Kirby. We will turn to Brandon Frazier.

Did he say if the situation is fluid or not? Jk, that's good news.

We did a nice job building back up the RB depth

SR - B. Robinson
SO - K. Robinson
R-FR - T. Sanders
FR - McClellan
FR - R. Williams

Personally I don't think Ford is a SEC running back (I'm sure he's a great kid and all that), and we'll see with Edwards.

But that's a pretty solid and diverse group right there. Great job by the staff replenishing the position.

Gilbert is a lot better, so that makes sense. Washington has good measurables and an enormous catch radius, but he just isn't that impressive to me. I think he will end up being more of a chain mover than a playmaker.

This can be a very elite group and I like how they are not all the same type of back!

I still don't understand what happened with Gilbert. Baffles me.
