Alfred Collins, DE, Bastrop (Texas) Cedar Creek – In assessing the defensive ends, Collins stuck out as an easy riser by way of some fantastic senior video. The 6-foot-5, 275-pounder lived in opposing backfields this fall, creating constant disruption with his unique blend of quickness, supreme length and physicality as a finisher. Collins consistently blows up plays in the emphatic fashion you'd like to see from a top prospect along the defensive line and does so on a regular basis as he finished with 35 tackles for loss in 10 games. Collins has taken official visits to Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas and Baylor. The Longhorns currently account for all of the picks in his Crystal Ball. We'll see Collins at the All-American Bowl in January, but he's put himself in the five-star discussion as a senior and moves up No. 40 overall.
Still a little confused as to why we didn't go after Collins harder.

Brian Branch, S, Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek – There may not be a better senior safety in the country than Branch. His senior production has been off the charts with more than 1,100 yards receiving on 60 catches, 14 touchdowns and two touchdowns on over 600 return yards. Defensively he’s been just as active with 15 interceptions for his career and fantastic feel for the football. Already a Top100 prospect, the Alabama commit is up to a 96 rating with a chance to contend for the top safety spot in the country when we see him in person this January. – Barton Simmons
247 moved Branch up to the #47 spot overall.
ETA: He jumped 43 spots.

William Anderson, DE, Hampton (Ga.) Dutchtown – The Alabama commitment has one of the quicker first steps we've seen in the 2020 cycle. Anderson flies off the snap and is often in the backfield before opposing offensive linemen are out of their stance. That quickness pairs with high-level closing speed and pad level to give Anderson a desirable skill set as a pass rusher at the next level. Anderson has a new rating of 95, moving up within the top 75 at No. 64.
ETA: He jumped 23 spots.

Timothy Smith, DT, Sebastian (Fla.) Sebastian River – With some of the best senior film at defensive tackle we’ve seen this cycle, Smith has made huge strides since his junior tape. He looks trimmed down and in better shape and the disruptiveness has followed. He’s a physical, penetrating defensive lineman that shows the kind of motor and movement skills in a plus frame that makes him very rare. The Alabama commit cracks the Top 100 due to his senior productivity (over 30 tackles for loss). – Simmons
247 has Smith as the #82 prospect overall.
ETA: Holy shite. He jumped 206 spots.

Reggie Grimes dropped 84 spots to #220 overall in the Top 247. Ouch.

somebody posted Branch's senior highlights on BOL. First two plays are him making (two separate) high point one handed interception. Kid's got it

No I get it but this time of year things can change by the hour! Something tells me Kirby squashed it

Just about every play in that video has him looking back for the ball and making a play on it. We’ll get that bad habit coached out of him QUICKLY
I’m sorry but this is hilarious but also makes me sad hahahahaha

One of Ronald Williams' high school coaches posts in the SEC Recruiting and on the LSU boards. He says Williams is a big-time athlete with NFL potential.

I wouldn't count him in just yet. Replacing him with McKinnley Jackson would be ideal.

Yea I was going to leave him off but as he's technically currently committed I threw him on anyway

No, but I don't think he signs with us. Just a gut feeling. Kinda like Jadaveon Clowney's recruitment. I think USCe.

Yeah, he is, and he's only gonna get worse if Burch signs with them.

It sucks he tore his knee up last year. He got enormous and lost a lot of his agility.

I'm pretty sure those were TD catches. He plays WR, DB, and PR full time for his team. Not that it matters. A one handed catch is a one handed catch. He's surprising fluid for a kid who is already so jacked.

Drake Maye moved up 30 spots in the 2021 Rivals 250 to #118 overall.
He should continue to climb over the next year.

I think this group will end up becoming very good. Moore has the star position written all over him, we will see Hellams in the dime spot. Branch has so much upside and I think he has a chance to contribute as a freshman.

I agree... I thought our secondary was going to be stout last year but next year could be better especially if Xavier comes back. There were some noticeable weak links
