We would have gone undefeated in 2015 if Saban hadn't started Cooper fricking Bateman in the Ole Miss game.

I don't know why cause it wasn't all that important of a play but this Coker TD to Ridley is still one of my favorite plays of the Saban era.

Top five uncommitted 2020 RBs
quote:
With the dead period ending on July 24th and rankings updates around the corner, now is a perfect time to take a look at the top uncommitted prospects at each position. Yesterday we put the quarterbacks under the microscope and today we take a closer look at the running backs. Here is a summary of where the recruitment of these prospects stand heading into their senior seasons.

ZACHARY EVANS
Top contenders: LSU, Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M
Recruiting outlook: Evans hasn’t talked much about his recruitment this offseason but did officially narrow his focus to five schools. That list seems outdated though and now LSU, Alabama, Texas, and Texas A&M look to be his top contenders. All four of those teams have played host to Evans this spring and summer and they expect to get him back on campus this fall. Alabama has commitments from a couple of Evans’ teammates and they are hoping that pays dividends down the road.
Farrell’s take: Man this is a tough one because Evans released a top five but continues to visit schools like Texas and Texas A&M. My gut tells me he ends up in state and that would more likely be A&M over Texas. But right now if I had to pick, it would be either LSU or Alabama. This one will have many twists and turns.

KENDALL MILTON
Top contenders: Georgia, Alabama, LSU, and Ohio State
Recruiting outlook: With his commitment coming in less than a week, Milton seems to be headed to the SEC with Georgia and Alabama as the favorites. The Bulldogs have the majority of the momentum but Alabama hasn’t given up. LSU and Ohio State are also in the mix and Milton took official visits to all four schools.
Farrell’s take: I think he’s going to Georgia. No school has recruited running backs better in recent years and they have churned out good ones.

Alabama and Auburn recruits make list for national LB award
quote:
A total of seven linebackers committed to Alabama or Auburn have been selected among the 51 preseason nominees for the high school Butkus Award.
The four Alabama commits are Jackson-Olin’s Quandarrius Robinson, Theodore’s Demouy Kennedy, Muscle Shoals’ Jackson Bratton and Drew Sanders from Ryan (Texas) High in Denton, Texas.'
Last week, Robinson was also named to the preseason watch list for the Bobby Dodd National HS Lineman of the Year award from the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.
The three Auburn commits on the HS Butkus preseason watch list are Hillcrest-Evergreen’s Cameron Riley, Mallard Creek (N.C.)’s Trenton Simpson and Houston County (Ga.)’s Wesley Steiner.
The Butkus Award is has historically gone to the nation’s best college linebacker, but the Butkus Foundation now also honors a national winner on the high school and professional levels.
Last year, Horn Lake (Miss.) linebacker and Georgia signee Nakobe Dean won the high school Butkus Award and LSU’s Devin White won the college award.
Current Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses won the high school Butkus in 2016 after playing his senior season at IMG Academy (Fla.).
Four Alabama players have won the college Butkus – Rueben Foster in 2016, C.J. Mosley in 2014, Rolando McClain in 2009 and Derrick Thomas in 1988.

While looking back at our QB recruiting I realized that since 2010, every QB recruit that we signed as a freshman that did not win the job early on outside of Blake Sims eventually transferred. I'm sure this is near the norm now and it isn't much different elsewhere but damn I wasn't expecting it to be damn near 100%. Really it has only been Blake and Tua (AJ was 2009).

Surge, who is going to be our Dalcourt this year for the second Champion's Cookout?
Posted on 7/23/19 at 9:52 am to Carlton
If your asking who's most likely to commit while there, I'd say Xavion Alford, Waddle's cousin.
Update: Alford has told Hank he can't make it to the cookout due to family matters.

Coker definitely didnt like fans saying he wasnt a good athlete. Coker said until I got to Alabama, I was a good athlete. Now, I am not a good athlete? He was a really good high school basketball player.

I've been waiting for nolacapstone's latest BOL post on Jaquelin Roy to hit the LSUrb. Here's the SECrb Jaquelin Roy thread post about it.

Am I the only one who doesn’t really care about Roy? We’ve got an uber talented young DL on campus and we will add to the arsenal with this class. If he comes great, if not, we will sign another blue chipper in his place and destroy him on the field the next 3-4 years.

They are pretending to have the scoop on Braswell.

I've heard or read nothing about Braswell even being remotely interested in L8U and now all of a sudden he is a silent commit to them?? That is one broken fanbase
Posted on 7/23/19 at 3:35 pm to MagillaGuerilla
Unfortunately it is true. Braswell made a secret visit to Baton Rouge and was shown around by Tualia. Not only did he love the new locker room but he was really impressed that the flooded basement of the Middleton library doubles as a second lazy river. Coach O is showing Saban how recruiting is done.
Posted on 7/23/19 at 3:37 pm to MagillaGuerilla
Yeah, it looks like some LSU fans have been convinced by VolTiger13, their trusted insider, that Braswell has silently flipped to LSU.
