2017 Alabama High School Football Thread

My alma mater just beat the second ranked team in the state (Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa) by a score of 21-0. The big stat line? They didn't give up a single first down. Not one. They play 7A power Gadsden City next week.

My alma mater, Wetumpka, has overcame a 14-point deficit in the 1st and is beating Prattville 34-23 at the start of the 4th. Furk yes.

Gadsden and Spain Park is a pretty good game so far. 14-13 Spain Park right now.

My 2 schools Isabella and Maplesville won last night.
Maplesville beat Fyffe 20-7.
Isabella beat Billingsley 41-0.

Tua's little brother helped Thompson comeback and beat Hapeville Charter (GA) 21-20. Had 329 yards, was 31 of 42, and had 2 TDs.

Opelika killed Smith Station 51-0.
Spain Park ended up winning 31-19 over Gadsden City. Bart Sessions first game as at Gadsden. RB for SP, D’Arie Johnson, ran for 110 yards. Good match up next for Gadsden, as they play Oxford.
Auburn High shutout Carver (Montgomery) 27-0.
Good game between Clay Chalkville and Florence. Florence was up 21-18 at the start of the 4th, but Clay Chalkville drove right back down with an 11-play, 79-yard drive to take a 24-21 lead. Florence answered back with their own drive, and took the lead with less than 1:30 remaining. Clay Chalkville ended up going down and scoring on a QB draw for the game winner.

Looks like Minor reloaded. Destroyed Greensboro 48-12.
Oak Mountain beat Cheslea 21-10. Luke Percent rushed for 77 yards on 18 carries, while scoring every TD for Oak Mountain.
Central Phoenix City beat Bob Jones 33-7. Supposed to be a good top 10 matchup, but CPC out gained them 425-181. I'd watch out for CPC this year.

Hillcrest lost an all state caliber QB and Brian Robinson. No way they should've been a top five team.

Isabella won 54-8 at Verbena. Former Maplesville OL coach Tate Leonard has done an amazing job as the HC. They're definitely a future threat to Maplesville.
