7. Auburn
9. Tennessee
15. Rhode Island
27. Texas A&M
28. Middle Tennessee
36. Oklahoma
45. Florida
55. Alabama
All we had to do is not have a complete collapse and we're comfortably in.

I’m so fricking depressed this morning. I was telling everyone about 2-3 weeks ago (when we were 17-9) it’s almost impossible for Alabama to miss the tourney. I was looking forward to watching us play in March Madness for the first time in years. I still have never seen us play in a tourney game. I had school in 2012 and missed it and now here we are about to miss the fricking tourney the year I finally have spring break during the first round of the tourney

Lunardi has us as a 10 seed this morning. That tells me if we lose the next 2 we’re out.
I think with how bad we’ve played we may need two wins now

This is basketball in the state of Alabama. Collapsing is what we do
Just look at Auburn basketball trying giftwrap Tennessee a SEC championship

As bad as things seem...I still don't think we re done due to comments I've heard from experts. I've heard Bama is playing with fire or they're playing their way out, but no one has said their done. They quit looking at last 10 games a decade ago and wins in November and January mean as much as they do now. Just need to find a way to finish strong sat and next week. Vanderbilt got in last yr with a similar record and I think we beat more quality teams this yr...Doesn't mean we need to lose the next 2 but requirements aren't black and white anymore to making the dance.

At least you're in the tournament.

but dropping games to lesser opponents on a consistent basis
We haven't really done that in this recent stretch though. The Vandy and Ole Miss losses are the only two where we can definitively say we lost to lesser opponents, and Vandy is arguably a lot better than their record indicates. The SEC is a very competitive league this year. We wilted when the chips were down, and coaching is absolutely to blame.
But none of these last 4 losses would be bad losses on their own. They were all 4 to really good teams. The way we lost the last 3 are absolutely bad losses though, and the fact that we lost all 4 just makes them look worse.

After watching the last three games and just giving up in disgust last night, we're done.
We aren't winning in College Station Saturday and we'll likely go one and done in the SEC tournament. Even if we do win the first few we'll likely end up with a glorified road game against Kentucky. We've seen enough of those recently in the conference tourney to know how it will turn out.

Check back after the inevitable happens on Saturday...

This team is completely OVER coached. It’s like Hurts. They are so scared to make a mistake that they can’t do anything. Sick of watching 5 guys pass on an open shot. Over coached to get the ball back to Sexton. Sexton is a good kid and great player, but in many ways he’s a detriment. We played much, much better when he was out. Guys stepped up and played basketball.

We're done because of our basketball team and the fact they have 2 more games to play.

If by some chance we won 2 games next week we'd probably be solidly in tbh. 20 wins isn't a requirement or even a sure lock to get in anymore. Scheduling matters more now than ever before and I agree these last 4 games weren't losses to crap teams. Miss st losing to Vanderbilt recently was a crippling loss for them, although I think it'd be a farce if they got in unless they won the tournament next week. I'm willing to say whoever wins it next week won't be one of the top 4...It's just been that kind of year.

As it stands right now we're the eight seed in the conference tourney. We'd play in the opening game next Thursday against Texas A&M. This will likely change because they're at 7-9 in the SEC with a trip to Georgia tonight before hosting us on Saturday.

That graphic during the game last night about all the potential tourney seeds each team in the SEC was still in play for was mind blowing. Alabama(this was before last night's loss) was anywhere from the #3 seed to the #10 seed. Most every team had about that same spread.

I don't think they're coached to get it back to Sexton but there is hesitation. They stepped up in those 3 games because they had no choice but to step up. That shouldn't be pinned on Sexton though.

The two players we sent to the press conference last night were Lawson and Giddens lol

Throughout his tenure, it's been sort of a trend. Understandably, his first two, he didn't have his guys. But still looking back, they were crucial winnable games at home, and now that we have a larger sample size in his 3rd year, we can ask if we had a better coach, do we drop those games? Valpo in his 2nd year is the one that always stands out to me. UCF and Georgia this year.
I know it's understandable with his first two years on some losses, but I don't think we should totally omit those games when discussing the failures in his tenure. Would it shock any of us if we lost at home to a non-conference opponent next season, to a team that likely finishes with 16-17 wins?
Then, like you mentioned, throw in the team's body of work these past few games is down right inexcusable.

It really fricking sucks that we seemingly have the same discussions every year when it pertains to basketball. Talk radio; message boards; talking with friends. Just anything.
So tired of mediocre product.

I believe there’s something to the theory that there are issues in the locker room. Whether it be chemistry issues or infighting.
