There's also a such thing as unrelenting negativity...Which is as poisonous as anything else. Apathy breeds apathy. I've acknowledged that Avery needs to take the next step next year, although one more win I believe gets us in. My opinion and mine only, don't expect anyone to share it.

Byrne needs to wash himself of that Arizona shite. Be more on task like he was at Mississippi State.

Bohannon hire looking lights out though.

No chance in hell that anything posted on this message board makes a difference in the game. Zero. You're delusional if you think otherwise

Do you think the players read this board to hype themselves up before games or something?

Negativity aside, what would it take for you to acknowledge that Avery isn’t cutting it at this point? Serious question.

I agree with you on the one win part. There I said it. Others and possibly you said we were in and I disagreed. My opinion

It's not Avery's fault. It's our fault. Someone posted something negative. It's on us

What would it take for u to realize that teams this young don't normally beat 5 ranked teams or go to the dance? I certainly don't believe our attitude level makes any difference in the outcome ofany games

I will commend you for a good effort and consistency of thought.

But this is a lazy argument in my opinion. Reverse it, what school would want to hire Avery right now? Same lazy logic can be applied both ways.

Being AD at Bama, or any P5 school requires more than an aversion to risk. Obviously we could end up better or worse if a change was made. But lets not be content with the status quo just because it involves risk otherwise.

I was excited when we hired Avery. I loved the enthusiasm he brought to the program. However, that momentum is waning and it is evident in all areas, on the court, in the stands and in Avery's recent post game press conferences.

Maybe the season and Avery's time at Bama can be salvaged. But to consider any fan that criticizes the play of this team recently or Avery's performance a bad fan or even a negative fan is also lazy. Something is not right with this team. the reason can not so easily be a result of youth. Youthful players improve over the course of a year. Youthful players learn to give consistent effort. Youthful players learn to be better teammates. Which of those have happened.

I do hope we win out and make a good showing in post season. However, personally I will not be surprised to see the plug pulled on the avery experiment sooner rather than later.

He took this shite job when nobody else wanted it? Who the frick else did we ask?!? Gregg Marshall who’s got a cush job at Witchita State, got it rolling and is on cruise control and oh by the way, used us to squeeze WSU to fricking death for $4 mill a year!?! Who else?? We didn’t even fricking try!! Jesus, he called us and asked for an interview. Why? Because he couldn’t get another gig in the NBA who is probably the only pro sports league that hires more retreads regardless of record than the NFL. Hell, do you think if we would have asked, Ben Howland would have still chosen Stark Vegas over Tuscaloosa? Or Rick Barnes? You’re the same type of fan that wanted Mike Shula and Bill Curry retained because they were such nice men. Why am I wasting my time arguing with you? You don’t get it and you never will.

Ever since the second half against Kentucky we have played with zero effort whatsoever. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we don't win another game until November.

I caught hell because I wanted Shula gone. All I kept hearing was he brought stability. I said I'd rather lose trying to win than be content with average.

I commend the post, I'd disagree with enthusiasm waning in the stands ...6 sellouts don't support that. Every coach should be given a 4-5 window, after that decisions must be made. Aj inherited a mess .

We are in year 3 and are on the edge of making the tournament (given the recent trajectory of this team).

Avery Johnson himself said that year three was his target year for this team to be a tournament team. Yes, we might make it, but after these last few games if you can say with a straight face that you have confidence in this team you’re a damn idiot.

I kept screaming Archie Miller's name while we wasted time with the Wichita St. coach.

Johnson is one of the highest paid bball coaches.

I don't want Avery fired, but there are some good names out there.

You've got the unemployed successful coaches Tom Crean and Thad Matta. Maybe we could get a guy like Eric Musselman (Nevada) from a mid major that's had a lot of success. The $3 million could maybe even tempt a guy at a Big East program like Doug McDermott (Creighton). It sounds too bold to say we could the Creighton coach, but we'd be near tripling his current salary.
